We have stayed here many times - it’s our favourite ski resort. Planibel Residences (the apartments) have been refurbished in the last few years (Monte Rosa) and they are absolutely lovely! Very well equipped, nicely furnished, warm and cosy, comfortable bed (needed after a day on the slopes), and fabulous bathrooms that have plenty of hot water. The WiFi is very good and reliable. The location is perfect if skiing as it’s a few minutes walk until you’re at the bottom of the gondola or chair lifts. Everything you need is very close by (lift pass and ski rental) and the on site pub (La Cages aux Folles) is a very relaxed pub/restaurant that has delicious food a great atmosphere and lovely staff. We will come back…again!

“Great trip, good budget option for the solo parent.”

Lovely apartments, clean and modern. I am particularly fussy when it comes to cleanliness and was so relieved when we arrived. The apartments had just about everything we needed. Lovely apartments, clean and modern. I am particularly fussy when it comes to cleanliness and was so relieved when we arrived. The apartments had just about everything we needed. Other guests complaining about the temperature of the rooms turn the thermostat down and open the windows. Simple. I asked for a south facing room and we got exactly that with a great view of the slopes. I was travelling solo with my 3 children age 6, 9 and 11 and found it very easy to get around and everything was close to hand such as shops, deli, restaurants, lifts, ski school. My only gripe was that after booking the hotel put up the prices for the pool. €15 for me would have been grand as the kids would have been free, but then we were advised that for children under 12 the cost is now €9 each. So it cost us €41 to use the pool (we bought our own hats, towels and flip flops). They clearly don't want us apartment peasants using the leisure centre! That said, I will probably book the apartments again for next year as it was very easy to self cater, it was great having the apartment facilities & it still works out a LOT cheaper than the half board hotel package that includes free pool use even when factoring in food etc for the week. Also to mention the brilliant TH Land club which is essential for the single parent! I used it twice for my younger two in the afternoon. It cost €7 for each child from 2-5pm. They watched a movie and had popcorn and hot chocolate and I got to ski a little more with my older son. The option was there for whole day care including ski school drop, pick up and lunch though if needed. Staff seemed nice, just pity the club is in a remote windowless area of the hotel. “Noisy and Unpleasant Staff”

We had an executive room so 1 double bedroom with ensuite and double sofa bed in kitchen/diner and additional bathroom. Very nicely decorated, lovely bathroom products provided and ingredients left in kitchen for first meal. Very comfortable and nice however our room was beside the lift shaft so al… lisää

We had an executive room so 1 double bedroom with ensuite and double sofa bed in kitchen/diner and additional bathroom. Very nicely decorated, lovely bathroom products provided and ingredients left in kitchen for first meal. Very comfortable and nice however our room was beside the lift shaft so all morning and all night up to about midnight you could hear it going. Also music speaker outside the window from a local shop that went until about 11pm. Also very loud. So despite comfortable and nicely decorated rooms it was very noisy and difficult to sleep. Not ski in/ out but over the road. Spa area very expensive, €30 per person. We also found hotel reception staff very rude and unpleasant to deal with. Ski area is huge. Local restaurants and slope side cafés really lovely but you have to book if sit down lunch and dinner.

“Rooms only suitable for 2 adult and small child”

Accommodation way too small for 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. We understood there would be bunk beds but the boys are crammed onto folded out sofa bed. Not a proper mattress. The dining table and chairs are at the end of their bed so we have had to stack them up in a corner just to give them a bit… lisää

If you ask for a room suitable for 2 adults and 2 teenagers this should NOT be given as an option. Crystal ski should not even make it an option. Even the bathrooms are tiny. I'm not a large person but it's hard to negotiate the shower bath..everything is shoehorned in. Rooms are clean and comfortable otherwise.
