If there’s one recommendation I can make is directly after checking-in, go and speak with Torri-Ann. Located just to the right of the check-in counter, she is the best resource on the island. Whether you’re looking for beaches, excursions, nightlife, restaurants, shopping, or transportation, she’ll point you in the direction that feels just like home, if not better. She’s certainly the kindest person I’ve encountered ( MAYBE the funniest ) but certainly a lovely individual. The only drawback was the pungent seaweed odor along the beach. Definitely nauseating enough to deter you from sitting on your veranda. A special thank you to Elvis & Kaymarie (the greatest bartenders), Chris, and Joel for making my stay so memorable. These individuals undoubtedly left a meaningful impression that will stay with me as I plan my next hiatus. Their hospitality is the reason I’ll be returning!

From the moment we arrived and began exploring the hotel, Tori-Ann made a lasting impression. We stopped by her desk to inquire about excursions, and she was incredibly warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She took the time to thoroughly explain each option, answered all of our questions, and even recommended the excursion that she felt would best fit our schedule. Wanting to make the most of our visit to Antigua, we also asked for recommendations on local restaurants and activities. Tori-Ann provided several excellent suggestions that truly enhanced our experience on the island. Her recommendations allowed us to enjoy some of the best that Antigua has to offer. What stood out most was her exceptional level of customer service. She checked in with us daily to ensure we were familiar with the hotel, see if we had any questions, and made sure all of our needs were being met. Her genuine kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude made us feel valued throughout our stay. While we did encounter some less-than-pleasant interactions when expressing concerns during our visit, Tori-Ann consistently remained attentive, compassionate, and committed to ensuring we had a wonderful vacation. She was truly a ray of sunshine and played a significant role in making our trip enjoyable. Tori-Ann is a tremendous asset to the hotel, and because of her outstanding hospitality, we would gladly recommend this property to others. Thank you for making our stay in Antigua such a memorable one!

“Stayed 5 full days at st James club”

Our started out rocky due to our room wasn’t anymore and had to stay in a villa which was kind of dated plans not what we’re used to from a hotel. The plus of this resort is the staff and the food. Our started out rocky due to our room wasn’t anymore and had to stay in a villa which was kind of dated plans not what we’re used to from a hotel. The plus of this resort is the staff and the food. The staff is very nice and accommodating. There’s not many activities this time of year so the resort was pretty quiet except for the music by the pool during the day. The resort isn’t super walkable for someone older but isn’t bad, they also have golf carts to take you from place to place which is nice. The resort seems empty but it is also their slow season. It is also very clean. If you stay here definitely do the catamaran and pink panther tour, if you’re interested in exploring. We also went to Shirley heights for their Braque party on Sunday which was definitely worth it. Overall this place gets a 6.5 out of 10 and the trip itself gets a 7.5 out of 10

“Smelly holiday”

We stayed at this resort on the 6th June 2026 for 10 nights. Do not be fooled by the pictures of the blue sea and white sand. At this time of the year there is Sargassum sea weed covering the beach, this smells awful, the beach where they have the sailing etc is the colour of black tea and not at a… lisää

We stayed at this resort on the 6th June 2026 for 10 nights. Do not be fooled by the pictures of the blue sea and white sand. At this time of the year there is Sargassum sea weed covering the beach, this smells awful, the beach where they have the sailing etc is the colour of black tea and not at all inviting for a swim. Our sea view room had the view of a beach covered in dense sea weed and the noise of tractors all day trying to clear it. If you are unfortunate enough to be there at this time, complain to reception and they will move you to the adults only suites. The food and staff are great though, not any choice if you are a beer drinker though, just a local lager.
