When visiting San Pedro, make your way to Portofino for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious! Rodolfo (Roady) at the bar made the best spicy margaritas and fruit smoothies, all with a smile! We rented a vrbo nearby so we didn’t see the inside of the beachside villas, but the pool was beautiful. We spent a lot of our time here. Let yourself relax with an oceanside deep tissue massage massage. Highly recommend this spot!

My Husband and I had a wonderful experience during our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure all our needs were met promptly. The complimentary airport pick up and drop off was perfect! Property location with view of the barrier reef was amazing. We truly enjoyed the pool and dining in the restaurant. We enjoyed every item on the menu we ordered. Special shot out to Rina whose communication from the time of reservation to departure was on point. Every staff member were exceptional! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the view. Definitely recommend Chris and his team at Carpe Diem Charters. I highly recommend the private charger for half or whole day. We are looking forward to returning soon!

We had a great experience at Portofino Beach Club and would definitely recommend it for a more relaxed, upscale beach day. We spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed using the pool, which was a nice addition to the overall resort-style experience. While there was a bit of debris at times, it was minor but worth noting. The setting itself is beautiful—quiet, well-maintained, and less crowded than many of the busier spots on the island, making it a great place to unwind. The restaurant sits elevated above the beach, which gives it a nice breeze and a really pleasant dining experience with great views. The bar service really stood out—friendly, attentive, and consistently on point throughout our visit. The food was very good, with the octopus being a standout—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. One area that could be improved was the spa service, which felt a bit hit or miss during our visit. Overall, a great option if you’re looking for a quieter, more refined experience with excellent food and strong service. Definitely worth a visit.

I've rated this hotel as a 4 because it was a nice, relaxing, quiet place to stay. The food was pretty good and the swimming pool was excellent. The setting around the hotel was also idyllic with palm trees everywhere and nice thatched-roof chalets. That said, there are things you really ought to know. Firstly, the beach was full of foul-smelling sargassum seaweed when we were there, and one of the locals said that this seaweed is there most of the year. Secondly, the hotel is rather remote and unless you hire a golf cart, or pay for a 30-minute journey to San Pedro and a 30-minute journey back, you're pretty much stuck in the hotel for all your food and drink. We had breakfast included with our package but despite that, our food and drink bill for the two of us for 7 days was about £1000. Granted, we did always have a bottle of wine with our evening meals, but I did slightly resent having a lack of choice as far as other places to eat within walking distance were concerned. The bottom line is that, although we had a super time there,, i don't think we would go back.
