Amazing hotel, location and staff. Super clean. The restaurant/bar at the Lost Gringos and staff most importantly (Alex) did you feel right at home.

“Good location, budget and family friendly hotel”

We stayed at Corona with our 2 teens in March. We had chatted on WhatsApp with the staff prior to arrival, and they told us they could arrange a taxi for us from the ferry. We stayed at Corona with our 2 teens in March. We had chatted on WhatsApp with the staff prior to arrival, and they told us they could arrange a taxi for us from the ferry. Thank you to the ferry staff for showing us that the hotel was a 5 min walk down the road before we spent money on a cab. We rented the Penthouse, which was the perfect space for our family of four and gave our kids their own room. We did not spend a lot of time in our room as we were out exploring during our stay, but there was plenty of seating and a full kitchen, which was nice for having drinks and snacks when we got home. The property is a bit loud, as all the sounds from the courtyard and bar can be heard in the rooms. The beds were some of the most uncomfortable I've slept in. The masterbed room has a very high bed that I had to climb up in, and it was rock hard; not much sleep happened for me in this hotel. The staff was helpful to us with suggestions, especially because we were having some buyer's remorse in staying on Ambergris over Caye Caulker. We found San Pedro stressful with the loud golf carts everywhere. We never found our relaxing spot there, with no real beach and no center to the town that we could locate, we felt like we were missing "the thing". The staff was understanding and said, "nope you aren't missing anything. It sounds like the vibe you want is Caye Caulker." They suggested the ferry there for the day, and that was exactly what we needed. While I would have preferred our stay on Caye Caulker, Corona Del Mar is a good property for families and those looking for budget to mid-range travel during their time on San Pedro.

Rooms were so, so, clean with just the basics. Enjoyed the coffee and water in the lobby. The food was good in the restaurant but the service was terrible. Rooms were so, so, clean with just the basics. Enjoyed the coffee and water in the lobby. The food was good in the restaurant but the service was terrible. No acknowledgment when sitting down and often had to walk up to the bar to get someone’s attention to take your order. This occurred even when there were no customers. Drinks were good and not expensive but I question the actual amount of alcohol as they seemed very light.
