Nice enough hotel. AC rooms which is a blessing when you're returning from the Amazon, a nice restaurant, excellent breakfast, and extremely friendly staff. The hotel itself is pretty basic so don't expect frills of any sort. The wifi is terrible, you have to move around in the lounge area (no AC, happy mozzies!) to find the best signal. I would give it 3 stars but the staff is so friendly and helpful (a special shout out to the restaurant manager at breakfast) and the fact that there is WiFi at all ups this to a more deserving 4 stars! Will definitely stay here if I'm ever in Leticia again.

A very nice hotel with friendly staff who try to accommodate non Spanish speakers though we used Google Translate a lot. Some rooms don't have sockets but on our second stay there after a jungle trip there were lots in the better room we had. Wifi is awful anywhere but reception and even there dro… lisää

A very nice hotel with friendly staff who try to accommodate non Spanish speakers though we used Google Translate a lot. Some rooms don't have sockets but on our second stay there after a jungle trip there were lots in the better room we had. Wifi is awful anywhere but reception and even there drops frequently. Not a great loss if part of your trip is to disconnect. Reasonable rates I think and the food is good.

we stayed there for only one night when we returned from our trip to the Amazon. the place is located well, the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast choice is better than in most other places we stayed. the only negative point was the staff. we felt as if they could have cared a bit more. we really had trouble booking flights because of the bad internet connections and when I asked them if I could use one of their computers they reacted annoyed & said that they do not have internet connection either - how if you can book a room via booking?!

While the Waira Hotel is considered to be the best hotel in Leticia, I was not very impressed. They have a terrible internet connection so don't be dependent on having a connection. I could not access wifi in my room. There is no hot water in the rooms. The bed was not average. The A/C is a split u… lisää

While the Waira Hotel is considered to be the best hotel in Leticia, I was not very impressed. They have a terrible internet connection so don't be dependent on having a connection. I could not access wifi in my room. There is no hot water in the rooms. The bed was not average. The A/C is a split unit on the wall and in some rooms it blows pretty strongly onto the bed. Since they only provide a sheet, it can get cold with the A/C turned on. I slept with the A/C turned off and then it go too hot. Most of the rooms don't have a window to the outside. Instead the window faces the hallway. Breakfast was not that great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
