“Excellent hotel near airport”

Very nice and spacious room overlooking pool. Hotel and grounds spotlessly clean. Quiet environment around the hotel apart from planes passing overhead but not a big issue at night as seem to stop late evening. Lovely birds to spot in the garden. Very nice and spacious room overlooking pool. Hotel and grounds spotlessly clean. Quiet environment around the hotel apart from planes passing overhead but not a big issue at night as seem to stop late evening. Lovely birds to spot in the garden. Relaxing 2 night stopover after a Costa Rica tour before returning home. Good aircon and wifi. Nice breakfast.

“Family hospitality that cares about wildlife”

We were so impressed with this hotel and the family that runs it. Personal service on beautiful and comfortable grounds. Everything was really nice. We were so impressed with this hotel and the family that runs it. Personal service on beautiful and comfortable grounds. Everything was really nice. Most impressive was the attention to the nature of their land and the wild birds that live there. Specifically, the pygmy owls that have been breeding there for many years. They took the time to get out a spotting scope so we could see them and told us all about their program to support them and nature in general in their area. It spreads hope. Stay here if you love birds, nature and education. The restaurant was very good too.

“Nice Hotel in San José Airport Area”

A great place to spend your final (our first) moments in Costa Rica. We spent the night before our return flight here and have no complaints. A great place to spend your final (our first) moments in Costa Rica. We spent the night before our return flight here and have no complaints. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and air-conditioning is effective (and welcome). The restaurant serves a nice breakfast and dinner in some different options. It's really close to the airport and there's a free (included) shuttle. We arrived well in time for our flight and didn't have to rush. In short, excellent option for those who want to relax around San José airport, whether you just flew in or you're flying out.

“Charming stay marred by dangerous actions of shuttle driver”

We stayed at the hotel at the beginning and end of our trip to Costa Rica. Considering how convenient it is for the airport the hotel grounds are very rural with trees and a pond attracting plenty of birds. The restaurant is good, popular with local office workers at lunchtime. There is a bird feed… lisää

We stayed at the hotel at the beginning and end of our trip to Costa Rica. Considering how convenient it is for the airport the hotel grounds are very rural with trees and a pond attracting plenty of birds. The restaurant is good, popular with local office workers at lunchtime. There is a bird feeder near the restaurant tables which is fun to watch. The rooms were clean and comfortable with efficient air conditioning. The only negative point was the airport transfer when we were going home. The driver when we arrived was charming and welcoming. However, at the end of our holiday we had a different driver for the shuttle. He wasn’t particularly friendly and spent the entire trip talking on his mobile phone, with it held in his hand. This is rather rude to the passengers but more importantly it isn’t safe. Such a shame, as until then the stay at Hotel Robledal had been excellent.
