What an amazing place to stay! As mentioned by others, this is not a standard luxury resort but the experience they create in the rainforest is extraordinary and memorable. The vast majority of guests stay for two nights and have a standard tour itinerary but it is possible to stay an extra night. The rooms are comfortable and the mesh windows make you feel like you are part of the rainforest. The sounds of the forest are amazing. The boat trips and wildlife walks were superb.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Had a lovely time. Lots of wildlife around the lodge. Birds, monkeys, agoutis, crabs, lizards, iguanas. We had full board. The food was healthy and for the most part quite good. It’s a buffet style, but it’s the staff who serves the food onto your plate, which is a much more hygienic way to do it. They also put your name on a table and you keep that table during the entire stay. The room was spacious, but sparsely furnished with two queen beds, three nightstands and one closet with no hangers. It would help a lot if they put in something to place the suitcases on so they won’t have to be on the floor. A couple of chairs and a table would also be welcome. What surprised me was that the room was not cleaned during our stay. We did however get new towels every day and the trashcan was emptied daily. The first day only one bed was made, and that was it. Nothing the next day. We took off our shoes before entering the room, but still there was sand and dirt on the floor which I would prefer cleaned out every day. A tip is to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, because nature is an early riser. Also wise to bring clothes that dries quickly because this is a very humid environment.

The concept of Evergreen lodge is amazing. It’s located on the waterways and you can only get to it via boat. The room we stayed in was simple with a double bed and two singles, en suite bathroom and was very spacious. The rooms are constructed out of wood and are on polls raised off the ground with walk ways connecting them. The windows are all netting (no glass) so it can be noisy at dawn which really added to the experience (howler monkeys are very loud). But for us that was part of the appeal. There is a decent sized pool but it does get crowded after an excursion in the afternoon if the hotel is busy. Food is mediocre at best and one night I would go as far as to say terrible.
