Our stay was wonderful. This place is not your traditional hotel it’s a beautiful example of a lodge park built on sustainability and bio diversity. The accommodation is minimal and extremely comfortable. The lodges are very roomy. The restaurant is excellent in every way. The food is beautiful. Beverages well priced. The team are excellent truly 6 star service. Special mentions to Anna and Jose who truly made our experience a 6 star experience. I said to them we would give 6 stars if we could. So here it is. Location wise this accommodation is ten mins from town and located perfectly for your trip into the cloud forest. All in all a very very cool place in and amongst the wildlife.

From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were informative, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Their knowledge and friendliness immediately set a great tone for our stay. The restaurant staff truly stand out. They are exceptionally polite and attentive—more so than in almost any restaurant I’ve visited before. Nothing feels like too much trouble for them, and their service really elevates the whole experience. The food is magnificent, with an excellent variety of choices for both meat lovers and those who prefer plant-based dishes. For vegetarians, I found it to be a perfect place to stay, with plenty of thoughtful and delicious options. If you request any food changes the staff are so happy to help. Giving you options to help. While the restaurant prices are not cheap or overly expensive, it’s very easy to spend a bit more simply because the food is so good. Even if you only have breakfast at the lodge you will feel like you’ve eaten like a king or queen. In the afternoons, they light an open fire, which creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s incredibly relaxing and adds a special touch to the lodge experience. The lodges themselves are very spacious, extremely comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The level of cleanliness is excellent and really noticeable. If you have any requests you can WhatsApp reception using a QR code that is found in your room. Excellent way to book a table for dinner or needing things for your room. Overall, Cloud Forest Lodge is a beautiful, relaxing place with outstanding staff, fantastic food, and very comfortable accommodation. I would happily return and highly recommend it.

“Nice stay in nice hotel.”

Stayed for 5 nights here recently. Nice hotel with lovely public area views, and some nice - well stocked - bird feeders. Amazing restaurant with really friendly and attentive staff and great meals every night including vegetarian. The bird guides we had were all excellent. Sadly had to drop a re… lisää

Stayed for 5 nights here recently. Nice hotel with lovely public area views, and some nice - well stocked - bird feeders. Amazing restaurant with really friendly and attentive staff and great meals every night including vegetarian. The bird guides we had were all excellent. Sadly had to drop a review star, as we found the terrace view disappointing ( and we were in a deluxe Euphonia suite ) All we could really see was the back of the next block about 3 or 4 metres away. However all in all, a nice hotel in a great location.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The setting is lovely with beautiful views of the forest. The room was pleasant although due to the canopy over the balcony the view was very limited. The hotel has a viewing platform in the restaurant however the hotel would benefit from some green space outside with c… lisää

We stayed here for 3 nights. The setting is lovely with beautiful views of the forest. The room was pleasant although due to the canopy over the balcony the view was very limited. The hotel has a viewing platform in the restaurant however the hotel would benefit from some green space outside with chairs where you are able to watch the wildlife. The fire was lit in the evening and was lovely to enjoy happy hour cocktails round. The dinner menu was expensive but also quite limited as a vegetarian that doesn't eat mushrooms. So we ate off the snack menu before 6pm which although only 4 had choices provided better options. Staff friendly, the breakfast was a plated service which was enjoyable and able to watch the humming birds. The hotel has some walks around their site which was lovely, we saw a monkey in the grounds however no other wildlife spotted.
