Wonderful cabin excellently located . We had a three bedroom cabin that each had its own bathroom (14) where we stayed as a family of 4 . The living area , deck and bedrooms all very clean and well equipped. The place was excellent vfm and easily walkable to restaurants. We had a car so drove to main attractions and you could park right outside your cabin. There are wildlife trails in the grounds and we did these albeit not much seen other than an armadillo. Kitchen was basic if you were going to cook a meal but fine for having breakfast, snacks . They even supplied excellent ground coffee. Really liked the vibe of the place the gardens were immaculate and clearly a lot of care goes into this. Worked out perfectly for our two teenagers as had a bedroom and bathroom for themselves.

“Interesting upgrades”

We have stayed at Los Pinos many times and it's still one of our favorites in Costa Rica. They continue to update the cabins. We have stayed at Los Pinos many times and it's still one of our favorites in Costa Rica. They continue to update the cabins. The convection electric stovetop is great and we put the heater to good use. We saw them constructing a very upscale entry last year and now that it's complete, it was quite a surprise. It never occurred to me that the property would be gated. One would think the code would have been provided prior to arrival. The barrier was especially unwelcoming for us upon our 15th (I think) stay at Los Pinos. I have to say that it was a bother to deal with it as we come and go quite a bit. As far as I know, there have been no widespread thefts in the area, so, in my opinion, a very strange upgrade.

My wife Fiona and I stayed here for 2 nights, the 3rd hotel / cabana we used on our our 2 weeks holiday in Costa Rica. My wife Fiona and I stayed here for 2 nights, the 3rd hotel / cabana we used on our our 2 weeks holiday in Costa Rica. It was ideal for our needs and im delighted we stayed here because we got to see a family of 14 or so Coati outside our Cabana. We had a magical time observing them and they didn't mind us filming them. The Cabana is a large well appointed room with a very comfortable bed, a decent shower and good cooking equipment. Its a 5 minute walk to a good bakery coffee shop, a mini market and some decent restaurants. We ate at the "Tortilla" restaurant and had excellent food and cocktails. While in Monteverdi we visited the Selvatura could forest reserve and did the "Bridge Walk" and "Sloth Sanctuary ". The bridge walk was wonderful, high up in the trees but perfectly safe, the walk long enough to get the blood going but not too strenuous. The Sloth Sanctuary was wonderful and a great chance to see them very close up.

“Great Stay with space for larger family”

We stayed 2 nights here and enjoyed being in our own cabin and the nature around. We saw some interesting birds right from the deck and enjoyed relaxing in the hammock. Has a convenient kitchen and a lot of room for our family of 5. Convenient location close to all the activities.
