“Beautiful setting and wonderful wildlife”

Lovely bright clean room with balcony. Pool is beautiful with pool side bar. Super breakfast. The whole experience is very 'jungle esk' . Lovely bright clean room with balcony. Pool is beautiful with pool side bar. Super breakfast. The whole experience is very 'jungle esk' . Howler monkeys, macaws, white faced monkeys amongst other things. Great for town and restaurants, beach in 5 minute bus ride away. I had a wonderful facial and massage which was such a treat. All staff and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful stay and a relaxing spa.

Lots of stairs because the hotel is built into the hilly terrain but the setting is spectacular and should definitely be a destination when visiting. We stayed in a bungalow overlooking the pool. Lots of stairs because the hotel is built into the hilly terrain but the setting is spectacular and should definitely be a destination when visiting. We stayed in a bungalow overlooking the pool. We saw very colorful macaws from our patio first thing when we arrived. We had a howler monkey calling out every morning which was great to hear. If you haven't heard a howler monkey then you need to stay here. Every afternoon we had monkeys come through the pool area with some with babies. Careful they may try to steal the fruit out of your drink that was delivered to your sitting area around the pool. Hotel restaurants were excellent and well priced. One is at the pool and the bigger one is up above the arrival area with a tiny casino nearby. Food was excellent and all rooms and parts of the hotel were clean and well cared for. When I return to Quepos and Manuel Antonio I will stay here again.

“Jungle Paradise!”

We just returned from our first trip to Costa Rica, and our favorite part was staying at Ecotica. Every afternoon monkeys appeared in the trees…it felt like Jurassic Park as squirrel monkeys and white-faced monkeys came out to play. We just returned from our first trip to Costa Rica, and our favorite part was staying at Ecotica. Every afternoon monkeys appeared in the trees…it felt like Jurassic Park as squirrel monkeys and white-faced monkeys came out to play. We loved it so much that we planned our days around being back in time to watch them. The wildlife was incredible, including sloths, howler monkeys, toucans, and macaws. The property is beautiful, the staff is outstanding (especially Allison, Moses, Andre, and Amy), and breakfast by the pool was a perfect start to each day. Both on-site restaurants were excellent. We’re already planning to return every January. Highly recommend the Signature Bungalow at Ecotica!

“Over-promised and under-delivered.”

Comfortable rooms but loses points for being quite noisy. It's near the busy road and also has a noisy bar/restaurant with live music nightly (albeit only until 10pm). Format may appeal more to a US audiences - e.g. the restaurant is very much a US style sports bar with a lot of fast food. It has a… lisää

Comfortable rooms but loses points for being quite noisy. It's near the busy road and also has a noisy bar/restaurant with live music nightly (albeit only until 10pm). Format may appeal more to a US audiences - e.g. the restaurant is very much a US style sports bar with a lot of fast food. It has a great swimmable pool, although the attached cafe is very expensive. Not really what I would term a 'spa', although they do offer massage. The 'gym' is very small and basic - no running machine for example. Overall expensive for what you get. Would stay elsewhere if visiting again.
