“This lodge is a destination worth enjoying”
From the moment we arrived, the lodge was beautiful and welcoming. We had two wonderful meals. All the staff provided excellent customer service and were truly kind. We wish we had stayed two nights so we had more time to explore the property.

“Lovely lodge and rooms, OUTSTANDING staff!”
We spent 4 nights here, while exploring the area. The room was immaculate, comfortable, quiet, with a excellent views. The other lodge rooms were lovely. “Good stay”
Stayed for 4 nights, in April, 2026. Room was large, clean, bed was comfortable. Bathroom good-hot water, clean toilet, sufficient shelf space. Ate all breakfasts. Good, but not spectacular. “Great base for Poas-area adventures”
Poas Volcano Lodge is a delightful property near Vara Blanca, CR and beautifully positioned for adventures in and around Poas Volcano and areas NE of San Jose/Aljuela.

“Really Beautiful lodge”
Beautiful architecture inside. Comfortable and beautifuly decorated areas (some areas stunning). Welcoming common areas, reading areas, dining hall.
