The hotel is situated in a quiet and beautiful area. Very friendly people, good service. The room was great and the breakfast, with a lot of homemade products, was amazing. Thank you very much for a lovely time.

Stayed two nights at the hotel in July (two adults and one teenager). Hotel situated in tranquil and quite environment. Each room uniquely and beautifully designed, like a boutique hotel! The room was very clean. Nice little balcony. But, what really makes this hotel to stand out is the fantastic staff/owners! They were so friendly and helpful and you could really feel how much they cared about the hotel and making sure the guests should have a good time. Upon arrival all attractions in the neighborhood were described with a mix of English and Spanish, which worked perfectly well! Breakfast was very very good and you could feel that a lot of energy had been put into preparing the amazing cookies and small Spanish dishes.

If you're traveling to Asturias, Villaviciosa is the town to base yourself because of its central location, easy access to all the points of interest, great nearby beach, cider mills, terrific restaurants, and the feel of the place, And if you're visiting Villaviciosa, then Hotel Costa de Rodiles is THE place to stay, a quaint country gem, which is wonderfully furnished with traditional Asturian themes for most of its rooms and enriched by cozy corners filled with comfortable couches and adorned by delightful, homey decor. The hosts -- Ivan and his mother, Matti -- are the most genial, helpful, wonderful people. Matti's cooks 100-year-old family recipes with morning spreads that dazzle the eye and fill you with local and traditional specialties, while Ivan's suggestions for places to visit, things to do, sights to see are exquisitely planned for just your tastes and ambitions each day, with expertly drawn maps to guide you to each stop. (One of his paintings adorned our tidy room, which fit our family of four perfectly.) The hotel's rural location in the hamlet of Selorio, just down the road from Villavicioso, with a sweet, backways walk to the beach, makes for a quiet, most enjoyable spot. We enjoyed our time so much, we extended our stay by a day. This hotel is a FIVE STAR accommodation in our book.

“Great hospitality at a bargain price.”

Driving from Bilbao this was the first stop of our trip to Spain and Portugal. One of the reasons we booked was the recommendations for the home cooking and service. Driving from Bilbao this was the first stop of our trip to Spain and Portugal. One of the reasons we booked was the recommendations for the home cooking and service. We received a great welcome from Ivan the joint owner. Most of our conversations were carried on via Google translate on Ivan's phone! Sadly his mother Matie the cook had had an accident, and was unable to provide an evening meal. We were able to overcome this by visiting one of the two restaurants in the village. The following morning when we came to the buffet breakfast, we soon understood what all the fuss was about. A fantastic spread of delicious offerings to over indulge in! If we ever go back to this area, this will be a must for us to stay again.
