We stayed just one night. Great location. A bit noisy from up above our room, but otherwise clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Not much soundproofing in room, but otherwise Ok for one night.

What an amazing gem! We spent two nights at La Casa and were utterly charmed by the amazing breakfasts, the kind hospitality of Rafael and how he remembers how each person likes their morning coffee, the comfortable beds and the view of horses grazing from our window, the easy walk to restaurants and shops, and the lovely bar area for an evening vino. We highly recommend and will definitely return one day.

La Casa del Organista is a wonderful old stone house in the centre of Santillana. There is room to stop your car at the front of the house to unload luggage and check in, then a short drive takes you to the car park at the rear of the property. La Casa del Organista is a wonderful old stone house in the centre of Santillana. There is room to stop your car at the front of the house to unload luggage and check in, then a short drive takes you to the car park at the rear of the property. This was our third visit and, as ever, it was a pleasure to be met by Raphael who is a charming host. Our room was comfortable and had an excellent en-suite. Breakfast is very good and comprises fresh fruits etc., local charcuterie and cheeses; hard boiled eggs, fresh bread, toast and pastries. Weather permitting it can be taken on the outside terrace overlooking the fields, but the indoor dining room is charming as well. For location, style and service you won’t find a better place to stay in Santillana and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

“Renovated old inn with delightful innkeeper”

Beautiful quaint old structure, but fully modernized and up-to-date—save for room air conditioning. We had a room with an enclosed balcony, the windows of which we had to leave widen open overnight to try and cool off the room. Beautiful quaint old structure, but fully modernized and up-to-date—save for room air conditioning. We had a room with an enclosed balcony, the windows of which we had to leave widen open overnight to try and cool off the room. It had sun blocking shades, but we couldn’t use them and still cool off the room. The posada was on the northern Camino route, so there was the noise of passing pilgrims outside our window beginning before 7 the next morning. The Innkeeper was one of the highlights of our stay. Delightful, chatty fellow who knew everything there was to know about the place, its history, and the surrounding area. Nearby parking in a gated lot. Hard to find the posada initially. Breakfast was substantial and delicious, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice and—surprisingly—the toast, but no eggs cooked to order.
