We returned because we enjoyed it last year but last March was a bit too blustery. The people who told us October was warm and not so windy were right, and the sea was warmer. The hotel/ apartment owners have worked really hard and spent a lot of money on improvements to the apartments in the last year or so. All the pathways and patios have been replaced and everything outside is absolutely pristine, with nice new sunloungers and plenty of them. Inside is unchanged but fine. Apartments are quite spacious, kitchens reasonably well equipped with crockery, cutlery and pots and pans but the cooking facilities are limited. Bed is comfortable and shower is good although the bathroom gets a bit wet if you aren’t careful. Breakfast at the hotel was very good as before and the staff seemed more friendly than last time. The terrace with sea view is a wonderful location for breakfast and we enjoyed the dinner on Spanish night- less keen on ordinary nights. Alternative dining options nearby are very limited but the helpful ladies on reception will order a taxi which comes in minutes and doesn’t cost much to go to Morre Jablo where there is a good choice. And the local bar run by Owen has a great atmosphere. We enjoyed our holiday very much and will very likely return.

“Good, but they need more sunbeds and more mattresses for them.”

We have been back for the nth time, which says something good. There has been a refurbishment lately and the place is well presented with lovely gardens and a lot of the steps have been replaced by ramps, so it is now wheelchair friendly. We have been back for the nth time, which says something good. There has been a refurbishment lately and the place is well presented with lovely gardens and a lot of the steps have been replaced by ramps, so it is now wheelchair friendly. It is still fully naturist, which is the main attraction. The sunbeds are still a problem. Many have been changed, but there are still not enough, and this is made worse by too many guests 'reserving ' them, despite notices, which they just ignore. The sunbeds need a mattress to be comfortable, and there are only about half the number of mattresses needed. Also, every apartment has 2 sun beds but no mattresses. They all need mattresses to be comfortable. This may all seem trivial, but it is not. Sunbathing is the main activity at Monte Marina and most of the guests are fairly old, so need comfortable sunbeds. It was very windy during our stay, which is an occasional problem in the Canaries, because it makes the beach and sea unusable.

“A holiday to forget about”

Very disappointed, place was over ran by large groups. And most were very rude, would not even exchange a good morning, a lot of kindergarten type behaviour, which is shocking considering most guests are over 50. This was our 3rd visit and quite unsettling, we were even bullied off sun beds. Just … lisää

And most were very rude, would not even exchange a good morning, a lot of kindergarten type behaviour, which is shocking considering most guests are over 50. This was our 3rd visit and quite unsettling, we were even bullied off sun beds. Just didn’t get it had great holidays here in the past with different nationalities mostly couples. What ever and who ever this group is, does anyone know if they maybe meet there every March? Previous visits have been in July and August there was none of this. It made myself and husband very sad, and an experience we want to put behind us. Accommodation was perfect and to a higher standard, cleaners ground men, reception and restaurant staff all lovely and welcoming

“Tired, and not enough sunbeds. Too many textiles on the beach.”

The naturism is good, but the place is getting a bit tired and in need of maintenance. Spoiled by insufficient sun beds and guests (Mostly German) 'reserving ' them early morning and all day with towels. The clothing optional beach is slowly being take over by textiles, which can be a bit socially … lisää

The naturism is good, but the place is getting a bit tired and in need of maintenance. Spoiled by insufficient sun beds and guests (Mostly German) 'reserving ' them early morning and all day with towels. The clothing optional beach is slowly being take over by textiles, which can be a bit socially awkward at times. We're not going back this year.
