And Tazacorte is such a picturesque and interesting place to visit - as is indeed the whole of La Palma. You will have an amazing time.

Boutique hotel with querky antique furniture. Gardens and the pool are beautiful, calm and relaxing . Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, powerful shower with plenty of hot water. The staff are friendly and could not be more helpful. The restaurant is elegant and the food is very good with a great selection of wines. The service was also faultless. We took the half board option and very much enjoyed it but felt that the menu would benefit from a little variety rather than being exactly the same every day. Breakfast was a little more hit and miss, the quality of the food on the buffet was very high quality, however items were often depleted and nobody was checking and replacing them. We noticed this wasn't a problem the mornings that the Spanish male waiters were on. Hot items are also available to order,again depending on which staff were on this could take some time. We felt that the hotel lacked a proper bar area. Drinks were available if you asked at reception but once the restaurant was open at 6.30 the waiters were then unavailable. Other guests we spoke to also said it would be nice to sit in communal area before or after dinner with a drink. It would also be nice if some simple snacks were available at the pool rather than just drinks. Overall a superb hotel and the above criticisms are minor but I feel it's very close to being perfect with a few tweeks.

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay. Certainly loved the pool area and the quiet location amidst the banana plantation. Decor felt opulent though some of it shabby chic; lots of what appeared to be 18th and 19th century furniture and portraits of long dead Spanish nobles. Plenty of gold gilt. Very con… lisää

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay. Certainly loved the pool area and the quiet location amidst the banana plantation. Decor felt opulent though some of it shabby chic; lots of what appeared to be 18th and 19th century furniture and portraits of long dead Spanish nobles. Plenty of gold gilt. Very convenient for local restaurants on the Tazacorte promenade - beautiful sunsets and cheap food surrounded by the locals. We liked the town even though it clearly is not really the haunt of tourists. Re-belle restaurant a must. Most of the other guests hired cars though we managed to get around using the efficient local bus service. We came to walk and explore - if that is not your thing then don’t come here. Apart from a party of noisy Americans we were the only English speaking guests - lots of fit looking Germans perusing their walking guides at breakfast. Which brings me to why 4 not 5 stars - 25€ for very average fare, including possibly the worst omelette I’ve ever eaten. Why not include this in the price? There are tastier options in the town. We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant though, as with most high end cuisine, we felt peckish afterwards. Staff were lovely, very helpful and cheerful.
