Everything about the hotel was brilliant from the welcome to all the staff and the location. We will be defiantly be returning. The access to the gym complex was an excellent plus for us. The salads on the lunch menu where superb.

Just returned home from a week at Hotel Fariones. Absolutely lovely hotel, very relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful pool and hot tubs which were never full! No issues getting a sun bed (best ones around whirlpool for us!) after breakfast. Hotel room exceptionally clean with glorious sea view and the air con worked fabulously. Breakfast was plentiful with a lot of variety, we didn’t eat anything else in the hotel itself so can’t comment on the other meal Options. Would definitely return here if we come back to Lanzarote in the future.

“Average Stay for a 5* Hotel”

We stayed at this hotel as a family of 8 adults and 2 small children for a week in October. Our expectations of a once in a lifetime family holiday with a 5* experience were not met. Visually, the hotel is very beautiful and the facilities are fantastic. Our experience on arrival was one that you would expect and the staff receiving us were very helpful and friendly. Other staff that we found to be extremely friendly and pleasant were the fantastic ladies cleaning the rooms. They couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. It was from here that our stay began to disappoint. The pool area is beautiful but very crowded with beds and those who occupy these beds are where we began to face problems. The hotel clientele seems to be typically older couples who expect a deathly silent atmosphere and make sure to make those who do not abide by these expectations uncomfortable. On multiple occasions we were rudely instructed to keep the noise down when playing with the children in the pool. The noise levels were no where near those of the wedding that was being held one day on the opposite side of the pool, a family which I am sure were not instructed to keep the noise down. If management are not willing to explain to these people that it is a child friendly hotel, perhaps it should be strictly adult only. This would save young families like ours the uncomfortable conversations and disapproving stares of those who do not wish to be in our company. An unpleasant experience for a family who have paid to occupy 5 rooms over the course of a week and are spending considerable money at the hotel before even having a meal. As well as this, staffing in the restaurant, bar and pool area is scarce. There is no pool side service unless one seeks out a member of staff, after which point you can expect to wait an average of 15-20 mins for a drink. The same problem can be faced when sitting at the pool area restaurant/bar. Although staff will take your order, expect long waits and frequent mix ups with your order. Overall, our stay was very average in comparison to what we expected of a 5* hotel. The hotel is very beautiful but there is much room for improvement and the clientele they hope to attract should be clearly advertised to save anyone under the age of 25 an uncomfortable stay
