Also the fish and the desert is fantastic. The restaurant look cozy and woanderfull. If you are in Galicia is a must to eat to this restaurant but you need a reservation for be sure that you have a table.

“Galician food and hospitality at its best”

Casa de Lema is in the countryside about 7km from delightful Muxia. It was, and still is, to some extent, a farm and the owners take great pride in serving their own produce. We paid 199 euro for a two night stay, which included a ‘romantic evening’, for which we paid an extra 30 euro or so, but which involved a bottle of Cava and a four course dinner with an excellent bottle of the local Albariño. Our room was maybe a little over-fussily decorated and the owners speak little or no English, but other than that (and you could just as easily say it’s our fault, for not speaking more Spanish), the entire experience could not be faulted. Breakfast, of local fruit, yoghurt (superb) and breads was perfect, and the two dinners we had (the second costing us 25 euros/head plus wine) were superb: big prawns, razor clams, red mullet, chicken from the farm, even local seaweed. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. The church on the rocks at Muxia has to be seen to be believed, and Galician food and drink is some of the finest in the world.

On arrival the hotel looks perfect. We choose a superior double, which had a small bottle of Cava on ice on arrival, water bottles by the bed, a coffee machine and pods, toiletries, free wifi, tv and a hairdryer. The exterior of the building is most attractive and parking on the driveway is easy. The host is on hand to greet you and for drinks. The evening meal was beautifully cooked by the hostess and extremely generous. We were offered clams to start and then entrecôte steak for the main. Our meal was served with small fried potatoes and a large tuna salad. There is a good selection of desserts. My review is only average as although the exterior of the building is beautiful our bedroom and bathroom were dated. The bed did not look inviting as there was no duvet cover on the 'pilled' duvet, just a sheet pulled over at the top.
