I arrived in the area in the evening and wanted to be near Sagunto, which I will visit in the morning. El Puig is a seaside town several miles south. It has a beach area about two miles away with higher priced more luxurious places to stay. Since I am not beaching it here, I really had no need to pay extra to be near it. I found street parking steps from the door. Room has a very comfortable bed with an extremely thick one piece mattress. There is also a night stand, a desk, a chair, a small desk top TV with remote, a good sized closet, and a small balcony looking out onto the street. Bathroom set up is fine, with the usual Spanish loose, floppy, shoot the water all over the place, hand held shower. I had to hold it by hand, then lay it down in the bottom of the tub to lather up. Water pressure was excellent and so was the supply of hot water. Two towels and a floor mat are provided as well as the little bar of soap and envelope of shampoo. Street noise or light were not an issue at all. I lowered the shutter, closed the balcony door and set the wall mounted heat/ac unit to the desired temp and could not hear anything at all from outside. Room price is an amazing 20€. Almost forgot to mention that the wifi in the room is free and works like a charm.

“Great budget stay”

We've just spent two nights here and we were really pleased with it - we paid 50€ for two nights the Thursday & Friday of the Easter weekend so a real bargain. Yes its old but spotlessly clean, we also noticed the smell from the bathroom but kept the door open to the balcony which solved the proble… lisää

We've just spent two nights here and we were really pleased with it - we paid 50€ for two nights the Thursday & Friday of the Easter weekend so a real bargain. Yes its old but spotlessly clean, we also noticed the smell from the bathroom but kept the door open to the balcony which solved the problem. The staff were helpful and friendly, we had free parking in the street opposite and ate twice in restaurant Ronda - simple but well cooked tasty food at a great price and lovely service. The bar in the square opposite the police station is a great place to sit in the sun and watch the world go by. The station is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel where we caught the train into Valencia - helpful advice from the tourist office in El Puig too - they printed off the train timetable and advised us on the best ticket to buy.

I was driving from Barcelona, passing by a few ancient monasteries in Catalonia and I needed an inexpensive place to spend a night before I move on to Valencia. This hotel turned out to be a good option. The room was very simple and there was no A/C, but they had wireless. I also for a place in the garage for my car. The staff was very welcoming and nice. However, there was no breakfast, only a coffee machine. I guess, if you stayed more than just overnight, there are places in town to have breakfast at. Again, the rooms are very basic but it was a great overnight option for me.

“Decent for the price”

Apart from its location in the middle of nowhere (although a mere 20 min to Valencia city centre with a car), this hotel has only one disadvantage: a musty smell in the rooms. I don't think it's got anything to do with them not being tidied up properly: it's more likely a problem with the building … lisää

Apart from its location in the middle of nowhere (although a mere 20 min to Valencia city centre with a car), this hotel has only one disadvantage: a musty smell in the rooms. I don't think it's got anything to do with them not being tidied up properly: it's more likely a problem with the building itself. Otherwise, all is good: the bathroom is clean, bed comfortable, wi-fi fast, air conditioning efficient, staff friendly, and there's enough free parking around. For 20-odd euros per night, could you ask for anything else.
