I genuinely can’t recommend Kruger Riverside Lodge highly enough – it was the highlight of our South Africa trip! From the moment we pulled up, the warmth and hospitality were exceptional. We were greeted with big smiles, refreshing welcome drinks, and a lovely tour of the beautiful property before being shown to our comfortable rooms. We had booked our Kruger trip completely last-minute and had no idea which safaris to choose or how to fit everything in, but Esti (our incredible host) took care of every detail with just two days’ notice. She organized the perfect game drives for us, and we saw so much – although, honestly, some of our favorite animal sightings happened right from the lodge’s own viewing deck overlooking the river & right next to your bedroom door. A huge shout-out to the entire staff – every single person made my family feel so special and genuinely cared for. The service, attention to detail, and kindness were above and beyond. Thank you, Esti, Nomsasa and the whole Kruger Riverside Lodge team, for an unforgettable stay. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

We had an amazing and truly joyful stay at this lodge. The manager, Esti, did everything possible to make our visit comfortable and perfect, and the entire staff was wonderful. Firstly - I must mention that I noted that the lodges usually send guests a breakfast box for the early-morning safari tours, and while most lodges provide a small box, Kruger Riverside Lodge offers a generous one - you won’t miss anything compared to a full conventional breakfast. The food prepared at the lodge, both dinner and breakfast, is delicious. We also had dinner with other guests, which was a rich and memorable experience that allowed us to meet new people and learn about their cultures. Secondly - while you’re around the lodge, many animals walk right near the rooms, which is really cool! I’ve stayed in many different hotels around the world, and this lodge is one of my favorites.

“I only have one word...."Excellent"”

We arrived a little early but that didn't seem to matter at all. We were cheerfully greeted by a welcoming voice from Charl the owner, soon to be joined by Esti, the hotel manager who made us feel at ease straight away. We arrived a little early but that didn't seem to matter at all. We were cheerfully greeted by a welcoming voice from Charl the owner, soon to be joined by Esti, the hotel manager who made us feel at ease straight away. We were taken up to the balcony and offered a drink while our room was being made ready for our arrival. We had a lovely room with a most comfortable bed, the room had a small fridge which came in very useful. The large bathroom with a super shower was just to die for.. fabulous pressure! We had a private verandah with a couple of comfy chairs and a table where we could sit and watch the animal world go by.. In the evening just before and during dinner we were visited by a herd of wildebeest one night and a herd of kudu the following evening. Also the pumbas were an absolute delight to watch .. and all so very close by. Early one morning I decided to look out of our large glass sliding door, towards the path to our room, only to find a giraffe no more than 5 feet away from me happily feeding as if he were the only 🐆giraffe in the world... what a special , such very special encounter! Our dinners were always special with a nicely - no! a beautifully laid dinner table complete with hand picked flowers and special touches.. Food exceptionally cooked by chefs Spihwe and Trevor - a big big thanks to you both. I am not a big eater, but what I had was always very nice and service from Lido was also ALWAYS with a smile. Our room was beautifully serviced every day and a big thanks to Marcia, Nonhlanhla and Promise who also served during dinner times. A big thank you also - and certainly not forgetting - ,Luis who helped us with our luggage and who made sure that the garden always looked "just so!" Thank you also to Esti for making our stay a very special one , we had a very very special and fabulous stay with you and your team at the Kruger Riverside Lodge.. “Relaxing and beautiful nature-lover’s lodge”

This really is a wonderful property overlooking Crocodile River and close to Kruger’s Crocodile Bridge Gate- it is a Nature Lover’s delight! The attentiveness of the staff and overall experience was high quality. A special call-out to Lynette, Peter and Charles for their hospitality and recommend… lisää
