Il Calabriano turned out to be a very good choice to take a rest accompanied by almost Italians only, with their families. It was really pleasant. The toilets were very clean, housekeeping worked unless non-stop, day by day. I still remember well this place and I would come back here again.

“Hotel, Apartment Review”

We are a couple from Canada, Toronto. Stayed there in September 2012. One bedroom apartments were all booked, so we were given two bedroom apartment (two bedrooms, plus kitchen/living area, all with nice big windows that can open) on the second floor, with huge covered balcony with balcony furniture, for the price of one bedroom. Very attentive and caring stuff. Apartments and kitchen are well furnished and equipped. Nothing luxury, but very good quality with lots of closet space. Glass salad bowls, glass water jars, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, coffee and espresso mugs.... There was CAC but we didn't turn it on, as we do not like the air when turned on, and it was September, so not really needed. Location is very good. Walking distance, few minutes to beautiful sandy small rocks beach, through clean nice shaded path, with some greens on both sides, through camping site. Surrounded with other hotels on either side. Beach chairs and umbrella were included in the price, as well as buffet breakfast, of good quality. Fruits, lemonade, cold cuts, honey, jams, pastry, yogurt, tea, coffee...... There is a restaurant, beach snack bar and small store with cosmetics, food, and other tourist necessities on the hotel/camping site. We had a car rental, and shaded free one car parking was also included in the price. Very competitive and reasonable price for all inclusions. Wi fi internet was also included and provided for free, which was crucial for us coming from Canada, and wanted to stay in touch with our friends and family. There is wifi internet available, one for apartments, and the other for the lobby and restaurant. That one of the reasons we initially decided to book apartment there, because most hotels and places around had only common wifi internet, in the lobby, or in the restaurant (where they serve pizza and other dishes), but we wanted to be able to have access from our apartment also. I wanted to have a kitchen, as I am picky about food I eat, and this well equipped kitchen was of great use. There was also small flat TV with I think DVD for those that watch TV on holiday:-) We didn't even turn it on, so not sure about the programs. Beach was very good. Long, sandy, for those that like walking, and good for swimming also. Small snack bar with drinks and ice cream on the hotel beach. Water was clean, not to shallow, but not too deep either. Great for swimming. Zambrone is small and cute town, with few restaurants. We found some locals and we bought home grown food from them (salads, tomatoes, greens, basil, almonds, figs....all tasting amazing. This town is also few kilometers (minutes with car) away from Tropea, where we also stayed few nights, a must see, also beautiful clear beaches, great architecture, plenty of restaurants and street concerts and nightlife, even in September, while we were there. Must say that we were originally reluctant to book apartment at the camping site, were not sure how that would look like, so we actually didn't book it over the internet, but went there to see it first, and were so presently surprised that we extended our stay longer than we originally planned. Would definitely book Il Calabriano Villaggio (Apartments) again when in area, and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

“Good place to relax and enjoy the beach and the sights around”

Nice place by the sea, with sympathetic and efficiente employees, a good atmosphere. However, it refuses to issue invoice to its customers.
