“Fantastic Place, fantastinen johtaja”

Olen äskettäin ollut viiden päivän ajan ystäväni kanssa, kun matkustimme Italiaan. Suosikkihotelli kuun matkalla oli oleskellut täällä. Isäntä Salvatore oli fantastinen kaikin tavoin. Olen äskettäin ollut viiden päivän ajan ystäväni kanssa, kun matkustimme Italiaan. Suosikkihotelli kuun matkalla oli oleskellut täällä. Isäntä Salvatore oli fantastinen kaikin tavoin. Meidän oli vain annettava hänelle tietää, mitä halusimme. Hän oli erinomainen kokki ja täytti jokaisen toivomme erinomaisten aterioiden suhteen. Hän lähti tekemään vierailumme mieleenpainuvaksi, jopa ajaa meidät Tyrrhenanmerelle päivälle! Hän ajoi myös meidät Napolin linja-autoasemalle vain varmistaaksemme, että olimme turvallisia kotiin! Hotelli on loistava paikka eri tiloille tavata ihmisiä tai rentoutua omilla ulkouima-alueilla. Katettuja terasseja, avoimia tiloja, runsaasti nurmikon kalusteita, kaunista ruokailualue, jossa tuntuu maata ympäri. Haluaisin ehdottomasti pysyä täällä ja toivoisin voivani palata kuukauden ajan!

“Beautiful experience”

The Frantoio was a beautiful experience, very relaxing escape from the city, it is surrounded by the green of lemon trees. The Frantoio was a beautiful experience, very relaxing escape from the city, it is surrounded by the green of lemon trees. Easy accessible with a car or scooter and close bye top must to visit locations such as the town of massalubrrense , the beautiful beach of nerano and more We have been welcomed bye the lovely Martina who arranged a delicious dinner for us with chef Salvatore. Definitely worth a visit. Would go again with family and friends !

“Very nice and cosy place, loved it!”

Stayed there for 4 nights and loved it! It's a very nice place! The owner, Luciana, is very nice and friendly, helped us with everything we needed and picked us up at the bus stop. Stayed there for 4 nights and loved it! It's a very nice place! The owner, Luciana, is very nice and friendly, helped us with everything we needed and picked us up at the bus stop. The apartment was amazing, very cosy and clean and had a good breakfast and the sorroundings are very calm and peaceful. It´s a bit far from Sorrento and during the summer the buses run every hour, it´s better to get the bus schedule to plan it well. There's one good supermarket in Montichio, but there's no atm machine. It was a great experience staying in Relais il Frantoio.

“Quiet and cosy”

We stayed in one of the small (1-2 people) apartments mid-May - so just off the main season. It was extremely quiet - in fact I think we were more or less on our own for most of the time which meant the stay was very peaceful and quiet. The village has lovely views of the valley and the owners (particularly the daughter) were really very kind and thoughtful and the apartment was clean. In terms of the complex itself, it is not quite as it seems from the photos on the website - and I think some of the photos relate to the Freedom apartment complex which is next door - although I think it was owned by the same people. The apartment we stayed in was basic - but does have air con and a TV (albeit with Italian channels). There is no wifi. The tennis court - which did look lovely on the website was, I am afraid, a real mess and in desperate need of resurfacing (the current state of it was all breaking up and covered in stones). We didn't get a chance to swim as the pool, we were told, was closed. Be aware that the little village is a bit isolated so if you don't plan on having a car you need to plan ahead. There are no real restaurants or places to eat out beyond a pizzeria 15 mins walk which was closed when we went. There are a couple of small bars which seem just for the locals. It is a long way from Sorrento (25 mins by bus - only once per hour - buses stop around 9pm). You have to buy bus tickets in advance - they are usually sold in most tobacconists around the peninsula- but for some reason the local tobacconists in the village had stopped selling them. The nearest village to buy tickets is Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi which is pretty and has a cash point/shops and some good restaurants - but not walking distance - the roads are too narrow to walk along - luckily the bus links to it. Having said that, you can reach Pompeii in about an hour and a half from the place by bus and train via Sorrento - and Sorrento itself is a good place to spend the day exploring. For breakfast there is a coffee machine, juice and milk and very typical Italian breakfast pastries which are never much to write home about - but the supplies were plentiful. The mini-market was just up the road and we were able to buy plenty of food everyday. All in all it was a good budget style break, very cosy and quiet apartment and idea for a break to get away from everything - it suited us. But you might be better to have a car with you so you can make the most of exploring the local area.
