This small b&b has large comfortable rooms with independent heat and cooling controls for the room. The bathroom has modern conveniences,and big fluffy towels. There are fantastic views of the surrounding mountains, and, town. There is a large outdoor eating area that is connected with the restaurant, where the best pizza I have tasted was prepared in a wood fired oven. The staff is willing to help with any problem, they even did a rush ironing job for us. There is on the grounds a private secure parking area. It was a truly wonderful experience .

“Very Clean Rooms, Not An Ideal Location”

We chose Casale della Stella for our Amalfi Cost trip. The hotel is 15 minutes away from Salerno, not an ideal location but has free parking. We chose Casale della Stella for our Amalfi Cost trip. The hotel is 15 minutes away from Salerno, not an ideal location but has free parking. There is nothing around it, just a few houses and olive fields. We could find the hotel easily with the help of GPS but figuring out the front desk took 30 minutes, we walked around the facility and call them out, but got no response. Then we found out that there is a door with no sign, once you enter from that door there you'll see reception. After finding the empty reception, we spent another 20 minutes to find the owner. Luckily we saw a couple going out, and they call the manager/owner for us. The owner is a nice person, doesn't smile at all, doesn't provide any information about breakfast location, time etc. and doesn't speak English. This hotel needs a professional manager for a warm welcome because it looks like he has invested a lot here. Everything is new, sharp and clean. The rooms were simple, super clean, large. Sleep quality was great. Internet didn't work but was free. Free breakfast was pretty good. The lady in the breakfast room was very very nice, kind and friendly. She doesn't speak English but clearly shows Italian hospitality and personality. Similarly there was a gentlemen in the parking space during dinner hours who is very friendly. There is a restaurant next to the reception, where you can take your dinner. We didn't try it but looks pretty popular in the area. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a clean accommodation for a great price. But I would say for your Amalfi Coast trip/drive, location is not ideal, indeed a bit painful.

“a good hub to ancient times”

New hotel, spacious rooms, very friendly and flexible in a very quite environment close enough to the highway to Pompei (40 minutes), Hercolaneum, Paestum, Vesuvius, Naples, Salerno, Amalphi ... wifi wasn't working all the time, but the staff reacted adequately. A bit expensive, but ok.
