“Basic hotel in close to the sea”

The hotel is good, as advertised in fact. Compulsory breakfast for 12 € per person a bit expensive but understandable for RCI guests (other resorts charge more). The beach is just in front and rather empty, at least the first week of September. Bring earplugs: late night "movida" along the sea and a railway track on the back side. Good starting point for excursions to nica places as Mt. Conero, Urbino, San Marino, Gradara. Good food in the neighbourhood.

“Wonderful experience”

We loved everything about the resort and hotel except the expensive, mandatory breakfast fee. For a couple we had to pay $33.00. I can't eat in the morning and the breakfast was the same every day. With that said we loved the place and area.

The hotel's location is its chief asset, as a base for exploring Marrota itself on foot, the endless adriatic coast by bicycle (with scarcely an incline to ruin your ride), or the surrounding country-side and hill-top villages by car. The hotel's location is its chief asset, as a base for exploring Marrota itself on foot, the endless adriatic coast by bicycle (with scarcely an incline to ruin your ride), or the surrounding country-side and hill-top villages by car. The railway station is a short walk away, giving quick access to Italy's excellent rail sevice.The hotel itself is in every way a three star affair, perfectly adequate in every respect, but not somewhere to hang-out in for extended periods. The staff are capable and lovely and probably a little embarassed about the compulsory breakfast subsidy issue that RCI members have to endure. The sooner this policy is abandoned by the hotels management, the better.

We stayed on an RCI timeshare swap. The hotel is clean, plain and basic, not the usual timeshare standard. The Hungarian staff are pleasant and helpful. We stayed on an RCI timeshare swap. The hotel is clean, plain and basic, not the usual timeshare standard. The Hungarian staff are pleasant and helpful. We paid an extra 70 Euros for a seafront room which had great sea and beach views. The beach club was an extra 15 euros per day for 2 beds and a umbrella. The shower had great water pressure and our towels were changed daily and bins emptied although no change of bedding. We had a leak in the bathroom which was eventually resolved and on our last day, a storm caused our room to flood which wet our bags. Reception failed to tell us, we found out when returning to the room saw mop and bucket and suitcase lifted on a chair to dry out The breakfast was a basic continental one with limited selection. You really need a car to stay at this hotel as Marotta is a small town with no taxi. If you arrive by train, the best way to the hotel is to exit the back of the station and walk along the seafront, takes 15 minutes. We didn't use the restaurant in the evening as you had to preorder and choice limited to 3 staters and 3 main courses.
