we stayed at this lovely location for three days in July and enjoyed every second. The rooms are all located around a charming court yard. The room was very clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. There was also a small fridge in the room, which is handy for cold drinks. The swimming pool is not very big, but large enough for a nice dip, pool towels are provided and you can also order drinks and snacks, which ensures you have a very relaxing afternoon. The set dinner was good, large portions, and good advice on wines. We tried some really nice local wines. Breakfast is typical for Puglia, with a lot of different cakes and pies, but also a nice selection of cheeses and breads, as well as fruit. Otranto is just a ten minute drive away and the masseria is well located to visit southern Puglia. There are plenty of beaches nearby and the hotel staff will happily help you with any reservation at a Lido if you like. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really recommend this place!

We spent 14 wonderful days at Masseria dei Monaci, the ideal place to unwind. Salento’s charming villages, beautiful beaches and walking trails are nearby and lively Otranto is just a few minutes away by car. Valle d’Itria is also easy to reach for a day trip. This former monks’ dormitory has been tastefully redesigned and the rooms are spotless for which a special thanks to the housekeeping team! The setting is peaceful, with views of both countryside and sea. Each morning, we enjoyed the varied breakfast (sweet and savory, something for everyone), while lunch by the pool and dinner in the lovely dining area outside were always delicious and prepared / served with great care. Most of all, it was the warmth and professionalism of Germana, her family, and the entire team that made our stay so special.

“Lovely hotel, staff aren’t very helpful”

Overall a clean & aesthetically pleasing hotel & parking was very easy. We had a few issues during our stay & staff weren’t overly helpful. Overall a clean & aesthetically pleasing hotel & parking was very easy. We had a few issues during our stay & staff weren’t overly helpful. When asked if they could book a reservation for us in otranto they said they could only book for their hotel & we had to contact restaurants ourselves, we then asked for the nearest bin around the pool & was told to go back to our room. My partner asked for an americano & he bought a different drink to which we told them it wasn’t right & was told to be a bit more clearer next time. When we checked out we were hoping to stay for the day around the pool freshen up & head to the airport in the afternoon. But it was €20 a day per person to stay for the day which we thought was completely unreasonable considering we’d stayed for 4nights. We also wanted our swimsuits to dry outside our room which we hung up over the chairs outside, the staff constantly moved our belongings so they didn’t dry. I’m assuming this was to not ruin the aesthetics of the hotel. We were then told we had to walk around the building to the back to hang up our wet clothes which was a bit frustrating. The breakfast is ok, a lot of pastries & sweet treats, we hadn’t realised you had to ask for yoghurt & there aren’t a lot of savory options. Overall the hotel is peaceful & a good distance from a beautiful otranto (€30 return - sept 2025) it’s on a fairly noisy road where you hear motorbikes going up & down throughout the day. It’s very quiet & very few guests around the pool, staff aren’t overall helpful & it felt like they did the bare minimum to keep guests happy.
