“Quiet, comfortable, entirely enjoyable”

L'Oasi has been run by the family for decades. We stayed three nights and slept very well. Our balcony room was spacious and super clean; the beds are new and very comfortable. The terraced gardens are lovely and include a ping pong table. We opted for having dinner in their restaurant two times out of three (we liked it!). The menu is very simple but delicious (my husband wants me to mention the Veal Scallopini), and the view is spectacular...it seems like you are floating above the bay. The breakfast includes everything you can think of--homemade cakes, fruit, cereals, breads, hearty things and more. The property is located on a hill seemingly on the outskirts, but its actually very close to town when you use the shortcut. It seems a little steep, but my creaky knees managed just fine, as did my friend who just had a hip replacement. The family is special and made our stay even better. Everyone who works there has a good sense of humor, is very friendly and helpful. We speak English only but had no problem communicating. They are proud owners, and rightfully so. L'Oasi is a gem and we would go back.

A family-owned hotel, situated on the picturesque cliffs overlooking the seaside of Cala Gonone, this hotel really lives up to its name; it truly is an oasis. The property is situated in a convenient location with an outstanding view and offers a number of amenities (restaurant with breakfast buffet, game room with ping-pong and darts, lounging area with an incredible view). The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the rooms were super clean and lovely. If you're staying in Cala Gonone, this is definitely the place to be!

“A gem - if you get the right room...”

The hotel sits in a residential area on the slope of a hill just above the harbour, being both quiet and still reasonably close to shops and restaurants. The added value: The views of the bay here are substantially better than from the village below. Own (free) parking on the premises is provided. … lisää

The hotel sits in a residential area on the slope of a hill just above the harbour, being both quiet and still reasonably close to shops and restaurants. The added value: The views of the bay here are substantially better than from the village below. Own (free) parking on the premises is provided. The rooms are in various buildings on the compound, surrounded by nice terraced gardens above the sea, with a lush and mature vegetation, sporting some seating areas; unfortunately, there are no views onto the bay, just out onto the sea. The view onto the bay is really the main feature of the hotel; if you can, get one of the few rooms with a view – that makes all the difference (only the reception and the restaurant terrace have similar views). The rooms are spacious, equipped with a small TV, a fridge, and a safe; the Wifi worked reasonably well for me, but the hotel was pretty empty (Corona…), so not sure what it would be like when it’s full. The bathroom comes with a shower and a bidet; water pressure is deliberately limited (water-saving measure). The towels are unusual – feels a bit like using a tablecloth, but you get dry in the end. The beds are ok, if a bit hard; one type of pillow (also a bit hard) is provided. The windows have shutters, but they are mounted on the inside of the window frames, meaning you can either keep the light out or let air in… Due to the location, it is wonderfully quiet – you only hear the noise of the waves below. Breakfast is ok, with a reasonable choice; quality is as can be expected from a 3-star hotel. The restaurant – for guests only – is a bit ‘minimalistic’, with a daily menu of three choices for starters and mains, plus one dessert; the food is decent, but nothing to write home about (but at least as good as the restaurants in the village – you only need to venture there if you fancy pizza or ice cream -> Fracello is a ‘must’…)
