Stayed here for two days in January for work. Lovely old building, the stairs are amazing! Yes it’s a walk up the stairs, so what? Yes sound travels through wooden floors, who cares? Stayed here for two days in January for work. Lovely old building, the stairs are amazing! Yes it’s a walk up the stairs, so what? Yes sound travels through wooden floors, who cares? It’s such a warm and historic place that stuff doesn’t matter. Had breakfast, dinners and gelatos!! in town as there’s so much to try. Bar open by receptionist, and the rear patio is nice. I’ll stay here again, the place fits the city well.

“Old World nice”

Built in 1700 as a nobleman's residence, but with modern amenities. Excellent wifi. Great staff. Impressive rooms that have high ceilings and all the expected accessories. Built in 1700 as a nobleman's residence, but with modern amenities. Excellent wifi. Great staff. Impressive rooms that have high ceilings and all the expected accessories. Great walks in all directions. Immersed in old Sicily. Not far from the port. They even have a Tesla charging station out front if you decide to drive here from California. Easy drive from the airport, but parking at the hotel is very limited. They have a lobby bar with anytime service. There are 200 berths in the marina below. Did not eat in the restaurant and the morning breakfast is simple European. Too many interesting eateries and drinkeries in the neighborhood that needed my inspection. Affordable on a working man's per diem and it's not just another stainless steel and glass throwaway bit of modern architecture. The stairs could present a challenge to anyone with limited mobility as there is no elevator. If you're looking for modern sterility and mechanized convenience, this is not the place. If you want a pleasant, understated accommodation that's seen history march past its front door for over three centuries, you may well like it. I did.

The hotel is located in the old part of Augusta town. The hotel is very near to church and port. The building is old but well maintained. The internet speed is good but some rooms have speed issues. The hotel is located in the old part of Augusta town. The hotel is very near to church and port. The building is old but well maintained. The internet speed is good but some rooms have speed issues. Staff is very courteous and during our stay we had restricted water supply. Many restaurants are located near the hotel. The hotel has a own restaurant which is closed on Mondays. If you are staying in this part of town, pls be aware very few restaurants are open on Monday. Rooms are cleaned daily and breakfast provided is sufficient. Eggs available are only boiled, no other options available.

Great building, large rooms and bathrooms but sink and shower draining painfully slow. Perfumed room 204 with small window makes breathing difficult. Breakfast is typical Italian- coffee and croissant with chocolate - worth 3 euros.in cafeterias around. Wi-Fi and mobile overage poor in most areas.… lisää
