“Nice Accommodations”

Villa Rosa dei Venti was perfect for us. It was close to the airport, had a nice pool, room was great. We would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

Fantastically appointed small hotel in Cinisi near to Palermo Airport. Beautiful roooms and general accommodations with a lovely swimming pool and relaxation area outside. Incredibly helpful team and with shuttles to and from the airport this is a great place to begin or end your Sicilian adventure, or use as a base for exploring as ample parking outside for your hire car if that's your style. Can't recommend enough.

“Very close to airport with limited shuttle service”

We thought the hotel was clean and had very spacious rooms. The bed was a little lower to the ground than we liked and not the best mattress, but it wasn’t that bad. The hotel is adjacent to one of the runways of the Palermo airport, and the sound of jets and barking dogs is very loud, but virtually no planes flew when trying to sleep. Our only concern, and it is a big one, was the availability of the airport shuttle. The hotel is marketed to people to stay there prior to taking an early international flight with easy shuttle service. The website says that it’s “a few steps from the "Falcone e Borsellino" airport of Palermo Punta Raisi, with free shuttle service 24/7” and elsewhere “One of our drivers will come to pick you up and take you back airport whenever you want.” Sounded just what we needed. We arranged in advance with the hotel on the day of our arrival to drop off our luggage in the morning so we could return our rental car by 11 AM then return to the hotel and leave early the next day. All we needed was a shuttle ride back to the hotel after we dropped off the car to wait until we could check in. When we dropped our luggage off, they told us for the first time that they were closed between 11:30 and 3:30 and that the shuttle would not be available to bring us back. I asked if we could perhaps take a cab back to sit by the pool until our room was ready, but they said that the hotel would be closed until 3:30, and we should call for the shuttle then. So we waited at the airport from 11:30 to 3:30 and then called several times for the shuttle. It eventually came an hour later, even though when they finally answered the phone at 3:45, they promised it would be there in 10 minutes. We asked for a morning airport drop off at 6:30 and were told either 6 or 7. At checkout, the driver had no problem taking us on the quarter hour and quickly. So, if you’re staying here prior to an early morning flight, remember about their siesta and the limited availability of the shuttle service despite what they advertise.
