Had a great 4 day stay here. 5 mins walk from the station and only 30 mins walk to Taormina (but there is a bus from the station every half hour if you don't fancy the steep hike up the hill. Had a great 4 day stay here. 5 mins walk from the station and only 30 mins walk to Taormina (but there is a bus from the station every half hour if you don't fancy the steep hike up the hill. Very clean and tidy the Proprietor, Paolo runs a good ship and is on hand to answer your questions. Good sized rooms and quiet and comfortable. Happy to make a return visit.

The Sole mare B&B is a right place if you want to introduce real Sicilian way of live and hospitality. Yhe beach is few min. walk from the B&B and many small restaurants either. Paolo, the owner is always here to adviced you which one is the best. If you need rent a car, Paolo will find for you the cheepest agency. Thanks to Paolo and his son Sacha with their warm hospitality, I did not find only the pleasent place for holiday, I ffound sincere friends.

Hello, We stayed 7 nights in July 2012, 6 of us, 3 young couples. We found the hotel really fast, since it's 7 minutes walk to the train station Taormina-Giardini Naxos, so if you arrive in Catania airport, I suggest you to take the Alibus (1 euro) to Catania railway station, about 40 minutes and then the train to Taormina-Giardini another 40 minutes. At least this way, you know for sure that you're going to arrive at your destination, since the buses (interbus) are not very reliable. Near the hotel are a few minimarkets and restaurants, the beach is 3 minutes walk, but it has rocks on the beach and in the water, so you will need special shoes not to hurt you. But you can walk (30 minutes) or take the bus do downtown Giardini Naxos for sand beaches public and private (10 or 15 euro per 2 chairs and an umbrella). The breakfast is the same every day and kind of poor, but it's included, so at least try it one day, it consists just of a croissant, toast, butter and marmelade, coffee, juice. The room has AC, TV (just italian), towels which were changed only once during one week, shampoo, soap given just at the beginning. Paolo, the owner, was very nice, but talked only italian, so it's good that we had a person speaking italian, because for me it was hard to even ask for an extra toilet paper. :) Overall, the hotel was nice and at a good price for this part of Sicily, and it is actually situated between Taormina and Giardini Naxos, so not very populated with bars, but I would definitely recommned it.
