Casa Perrotta is breathtakingly gorgeous. The pictures on trip advisor and Airbnb do not do it justice. To arrive you ascent a hill top passing on windy roads through beautiful villages, vineyards and groves. Upon arriving you are engrossed in another world, which is hauntingly beautiful—the smell, the structure, the views are each amazing in their own right. Beyond the views of olive groves and vineyards and organic tomato plants, you see Mount Etna. The grounds are made more magical, by the volcanic ash which crunches beneath your feet, a reminder of omnipresent force (odysseus’ cyclops) which has shaped the region. The rooms are sparse (and to Americans do not have ac), which is what can be excepted at the very reasonably price point. That said, all other aspects of the experience are on par with the better luxury hotels I’ve been to. It is sufficiently beautiful, it would be a wonderful venue for a wedding. I’m very picky and could not recommend it more strongly.

“Great place”

We were two couples and just spent one night, wanted to stay another night as it was very good but couldn’t due to the place being fully booked. We were two couples and just spent one night, wanted to stay another night as it was very good but couldn’t due to the place being fully booked. Place was once an old monastery and like most agriturismos in Sicily has vast grounds which were perfect for our two Rottweilers. Rooms where very clean, spacious, with good bathrooms and very well heated as it was freezing outside. As for food served, this was very good as first of all you have a menu to chose from, many of these agriturisimos are on a take it or leave choice of food especially for dinner. Food quality was excellent. Car is a must, ample free parking.

“Little gem in Etna's foothills”

Superb little find, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and amazing breakfast. Was a great base for us to use whilst exploring the area and visiting Etna. Their restaurant was closed but staff were able to point us to good local restaurants, 4 Arches in Milo is certainly worth a visit.

This is a renovated old nunnery and has lots of charm. The room was comfortable though none of the plugs for the bath, basin or bidet fitted, good reason for always travelling with a universal plug. This is a renovated old nunnery and has lots of charm. The room was comfortable though none of the plugs for the bath, basin or bidet fitted, good reason for always travelling with a universal plug. The greatest thing about our room though was the view from the window- straight up to Etna. The food on offer was very good and well priced but the portion size was very large. There was plenty of parking at the hotel.
