This is an extremely charming bed and breakfast in the Italian style, by which I mean they provide cornflakes, milk, coffee, tea, bread, juice, and (!) each day a dish of fresh baked tiny cakes that were delicious. The hosts are charming, genial, and helpful. If you swim, Giuseppe is especially helpful. I understand and speak some Italian, but they must have some facility with languages, given the other reviews. As of today, they have an exceptionally captivating and playful 8 week old kitten named Pezzuola (gray with white boots and facial blaze, gray chin), 3 land turtles, and 2 aquatic turtles in the garden area. Bring your own sharp knife if you intend to cook, but otherwise expect a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a quiet neighborhood (for Italy), and a short walk to il centro storico. This is among the more wonderful places I've stayed in a lifetime of travel. The WiFi signal is weak inside but strong in the garden.

Comfortable B&B in an excellent location - close to Iblei gardens and Duomo in Ibla. The owners were very nice, providing us with all the information we needed to visit Ragusa and sorrounding. Comfortable B&B in an excellent location - close to Iblei gardens and Duomo in Ibla. The owners were very nice, providing us with all the information we needed to visit Ragusa and sorrounding. We were 4 friends and got an apartment beside the owners' apt. with patio in the garden: very nice! with lemons and cedar trees, the friendly turtles and cat ;-) and every morning we were supplied with all the necessity for the breakfast in the garden: eggs to cook, fresh lemons and oranges to squeeze for the juice, ham and pancetta, cheese, olives, dried tomatoes, etc- and Amalia also baked a cake for us! I will definitely rebook in this B&B should I go back to Ragusa.

Il Giardino dei Sospiri b&b is nestled in the heart of Ragusa Ibla's historic district, just at few minutes walking distance from the Cathedral and the Iblean Garden. The guest house has independent access through a nice ancient walled garden, clean and quiet rooms, independent heating and air conditioning, wi-fi, refrigerator. Breakfast is both Sicilian style and continental -- fantastic !!!

“Great location to explore Ragusa”

We arrived there in the late night and Amalia was wonderful to welcome us. She is the author of a book about Ragusa Ibla and gave it to us. I hope to have an English version near future. The room was large but beds were in the conner with no window. So fresh air was needed. There was a stove so you can cook breakfast here. It was quiet neighbor and peaceful.
