“Close to Erice”

The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good -- nothing outstanding. We stayed for two nights because we want to see Erice by day and by night.

“Good central base for exploring the Trapani region”

The hotel is located in Valderice, a few km away from Erice, just off the main road. There aren't any attractions near the location, so one has to travel, but the hotel served as a central base just out of the main city, and we could explore the NE part of Sicily with ease. The hotel is located in Valderice, a few km away from Erice, just off the main road. There aren't any attractions near the location, so one has to travel, but the hotel served as a central base just out of the main city, and we could explore the NE part of Sicily with ease. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated. Amenities are basic, the rooms clean and the staff helpful. We booked online on B&B basis. Breakfast was adequate for a hotel of this category. All in all, the price was very good and I would recommend the hotel to persons not looking for many frills.

“Average hotel with friendly staff”

The hotel itself and the rooms are dated. No airconditioning was available during our stay. The only option for ventilation is an open window, but in many rooms, you can walk straight into the rooms from the courtyard when the window open. Breakfast is simple but ok. The hotel itself and the rooms are dated. No airconditioning was available during our stay. The only option for ventilation is an open window, but in many rooms, you can walk straight into the rooms from the courtyard when the window open. Breakfast is simple but ok. Bathrooms are very dated and the matrasses are thin. TVs in the rooms are very small (maybe 10 inch) and at least 15 years old. No elevator available to go to the first floor!

“Good value, no restaurant”

We spent 2 nights at the hotel at the end of an 8 day driving tour of nearly the entire perimeter of Sicily. We found the staff to be very warm and helpful. We spent 2 nights at the hotel at the end of an 8 day driving tour of nearly the entire perimeter of Sicily. We found the staff to be very warm and helpful. The rooms were serviceable and clean, but not well appointed. The furniture was worn, the television tiny, and the room seemed a bit spartan. The lack of an elevator was a bit rough on my back, and the internet in the lobby was down for one day. Breakfast was skimpy with the offerings kept to rolls, fruit, and yogurt. Coffee was gone by the time we arrived both mornings, though there were oranges and a manual juice squeezer for those who dared. For dinner we were directed to a hotel/restaurant about 3 KM to the east (the Baglio Santa Croce- very good food) which must be somehow affiliated with the Erice Valle, as our dinner tabs at the Santa Croce were place on our hotel bill at the Erice Valle. The view from the window in our room looked directly up the slopes of Mount Erice...very foreboding on one rainy night but awe inspiring the next morning. I must say that I would stay there again for 2 good reasons: For travelers on a budget who only wish to get a good night's sleep before their day trips, the price is very attractive; Time savings- for the proximity to Trapani, Erice and the Autostrada.
