“Far, far far away from everything”

In the description, they write 20 minutes, unbelievable. You have to drive minimum 40 minutes down the complete island - and then the horrible gravel road !! The place itself is nice, really nice views, but not as luxurious as described. The salty water in the shower and everywhere is disgusting, they excuse it with the environment. Yes, I am green and environmentally friendly, too, but why build there houses in the first place? You can’t even brush your teeth with the tap water, you have to use bottled water - but they charge you two euros a bottle !! we paid almost €200 per night and one bottle of water was in the fridge, as a welcome, ha ha :-(( The access to the houses is very, very steep, for us no problem, but I imagined, my mother coming here: would be a disaster:-(( The young couple, who runs the place, leaves the impression to be helpful, but they were not !! They helped with one suitcase when we arrived, the other one we had to pull ourselves, and we had to carry and pull up the hill our suitcases on our own when we left:-(( Some people managed to drive their cars down the steep hill and parked them in front of their apartment - but that spoiled the view !! The guy recommended us nice restaurants, really good recommendations, but you always have to drive about 45 minutes. That’s not their fault, but there is nothing nearby, no shop, no beach, no restaurant, nothing !! For people who want to relax and sit all day on the terrace and enjoy the view, it’s a nice spot.

“Not as expected ”

The hotel complex is very nice with beautiful rooms and amazing view. The road (at least the last one km) is bad except if you own a AWD vehicle. Disadvantages in our stay were that we found the location very far from Chora of Kythnos, we felt isolated but not in a good way. Also, the beach in fr… lisää

The hotel complex is very nice with beautiful rooms and amazing view. The road (at least the last one km) is bad except if you own a AWD vehicle. Disadvantages in our stay were that we found the location very far from Chora of Kythnos, we felt isolated but not in a good way. Also, the beach in front of the complex actually was not a beach, but a bunch of rocks with a deck that we considered unacceptable (a small artificially installment on the Aegean sea that offered space only for 2-3 people). In order for us to enjoy swimming we had to take the car and go outside of the hotel, which was annoying. Breakfast was a basket with bread, jam (expiration date a year ago), crackers, honey and few ingredients on the fridge. Rooms were clean.
