“Great for a day at the beach.”

Lovely location on the beachfront. Sun lounger rentals (€40 for two people for the day) available as well as ability to use the well laid out and elegant pool at the hotel (€60 minimum spend). Staff were friendly and helpful. Good range of food and drink.

Ammothines Cycladic Suites is a jewel of a resort in a beautiful location. Their staff are all exceptional and friendly and provided first class service. Their owner, Odysseus, was present every day which added a personal touch. The hotel and grounds are a Cycladic marvel, designed and built by hand by Odysseus and his father, and they have created a beautiful resort. Their custom marblework is featured throughout and makes this hotel special. And their private beach is stunning. Their bar and food service, both by the pool and at their beach was exceptional and delicious. All stay we were taken care of by wonderful staff, especially Fotini, Aris and Georgia who are very kind and friendly. This is a 5 Star resort that we highly recommend! Paul + Jill

“Nice location if you want quiet”

Stayed here for 3 nights after a cruise. Location is right across a quiet street from the beach with their own beach chairs you can rent. If you want to simply go to the beach or have a car great spot. If you want to go into Naxos Town (to eat, shop, site see) it will cost you 25 euro each way. … lisää

Stayed here for 3 nights after a cruise. Location is right across a quiet street from the beach with their own beach chairs you can rent. If you want to simply go to the beach or have a car great spot. If you want to go into Naxos Town (to eat, shop, site see) it will cost you 25 euro each way. Rooms were lovely but the lights outside were on all night which caused some issues. Breakfast here doesn’t start until 8:30 am so plan accordingly if touring.

This accommodation does some things very well and other things not so well, thus my 3 star rating. This accommodation does some things very well and other things not so well, thus my 3 star rating. On the very well side, the grounds are beautiful with well-manicured flowers and herbs growing everywhere. The pool is pristine and the soft sand beach is a stone's throw away. (By the way, the beach is a nude beach which made us uncomfortable since our grandson was with us.) The accommodations are spacious and clean. On the not so well side, the reception area is not always staffed leaving customers to search for someone to help. The only dining facility at the resort is the poolside bar. Breakfast was included with our accommodation, but ordering breakfast was not available until 8:30 AM. Unfortunately, we had tours we needed to meet at 9:00 AM everyday, leaving no time to order breakfast, eat, and make our way to meeting locations. They did prepare us a "box breakfast" at 8:00 AM which allow us to quickly eat burned toast in the room before leaving. At check-in, we were told that we should not drink the tap water. We thought the bottled water would be part of the room rate, but it was an extra charge for each bottle (3 people times 3 days). During our stay, we tried order lunch at 12:10 PM at the pool side restaurant and were told that they only served lunch from 12:30 - 1:00 PM. Later, I decided that she meant someone would be available to prepare food later - no set time. The staff who clean the rooms seem to be forgetful. One day they left cleaning rags in the room. The next day, they left the windows open allowing numerous flies to enter the room. Upon returning, we spent the first 15 minutes swatting flies and closing windows. The location is a bit removed from the coastal villages where we were diving and eating. Taxis cost 30 euros one way. We finally discovered the local bus stop and rode to and from the villages for about 2.50 euros one way per person. The receptionist could have told us this, but she didn't. Recommendation? Maybe, maybe not. If I return to Naxos, I would look for a different hotel.
