We chose this hotel due to its amazing reviews and it certainly did not disappoint. From the moment that we were picked up from the ferry to the time that we were dropped off we were made to feel really welcome and valued as friends and guests. The breakfast which you collect and carry to your own patio was excellent and varied everyday, freshly prepared by Maria. Our room was quirky, very clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Excellent value for money!

“Excellent Location”

We loved our time at Sifnaika Konakia. It’s a ten minute walk from the port with great views. Maria and her staff provided excellent service and the breakfast was delicious with homemade cakes, jams etc. It’s a great idea to collect your breakfast from the kitchen and sit on the balcony or under … lisää

We loved our time at Sifnaika Konakia. It’s a ten minute walk from the port with great views. Maria and her staff provided excellent service and the breakfast was delicious with homemade cakes, jams etc. It’s a great idea to collect your breakfast from the kitchen and sit on the balcony or under cover if wet! The rooms are spacious although the bathroom is quite small. Sifnos is a lovely Island and if we return we would stay with Maria.

A charming site, complete with 5 kittens & 2 tortoises. Maria and her assistant provide excellent -hand-cooked & baked breakfasts. Maria is friendly and very helpful, and her sons know how to sort out computer problems. 10 minutes walk from the centre Kamares, with a bus stop for the (rather eccentric) bus service, across the road. Altogether a great experience. I understand people come back every year to their 'second home'. Two sugggestions: 1. Room one has a door with a glass panel. This lets in the outdoor lights at night, affecting sleep. The panel could be blocked. Hanging a cloth over it doesn't work. 2. No privacy between the patios of rooms 1 & 2. A small triangular sail doesn't work.

“Comfortable, calm and the warmest of welcomes”

We stayed at Maria’s wonderful apartments for four nights and really could not fault the experience in any way. The rooms are charmingly furnished and spotlessly clean. Maria is the perfect hostess. We stayed at Maria’s wonderful apartments for four nights and really could not fault the experience in any way. The rooms are charmingly furnished and spotlessly clean. Maria is the perfect hostess. She speaks excellent English and has great pride in her island. She was able to answer our every question. Breakfast, served by Maria and then taken up to our terrace was a highlight of each day - so much more authentic and interesting than standard hotel fare. The generosity of the portions meant that we could have comfortably lasted until the evening without another meal. Sadly for our waistlines, however, we were unable to resist the call of the cheese pies from the village bakery! Set just a little below the road to the village and beach, the whole site is amazingly quiet and relaxing. Each evening we sat outside watching the sunset and listening to the distant bells of sheep or goats. Just bliss as was the opportunity to relax in the jacuzzi. Sifnaika Konakia was the highlight of this year’s island hopping trip to Greece.
