A charming site, complete with 5 kittens & 2 tortoises. Maria and her assistant provide excellent -hand-cooked & baked breakfasts. Maria is friendly and very helpful, and her sons know how to sort out computer problems. 10 minutes walk from the centre Kamares, with a bus stop for the (rather eccentric) bus service, across the road. Altogether a great experience. I understand people come back every year to their 'second home'. Two sugggestions: 1. Room one has a door with a glass panel. This lets in the outdoor lights at night, affecting sleep. The panel could be blocked. Hanging a cloth over it doesn't work. 2. No privacy between the patios of rooms 1 & 2. A small triangular sail doesn't work.

“Comfortable, calm and the warmest of welcomes”

We stayed at Maria’s wonderful apartments for four nights and really could not fault the experience in any way. The rooms are charmingly furnished and spotlessly clean. Maria is the perfect hostess. We stayed at Maria’s wonderful apartments for four nights and really could not fault the experience in any way. The rooms are charmingly furnished and spotlessly clean. Maria is the perfect hostess. She speaks excellent English and has great pride in her island. She was able to answer our every question. Breakfast, served by Maria and then taken up to our terrace was a highlight of each day - so much more authentic and interesting than standard hotel fare. The generosity of the portions meant that we could have comfortably lasted until the evening without another meal. Sadly for our waistlines, however, we were unable to resist the call of the cheese pies from the village bakery! Set just a little below the road to the village and beach, the whole site is amazingly quiet and relaxing. Each evening we sat outside watching the sunset and listening to the distant bells of sheep or goats. Just bliss as was the opportunity to relax in the jacuzzi. Sifnaika Konakia was the highlight of this year’s island hopping trip to Greece.

Amazing place, Maria is super, the breakfast really really good! The room was big and confortabile, the place is very clean.

Just spent an amazing 13 nights in this lovely accommodation on the glorious island of Sifnos with its stunning beaches and walking trails that are all easily accessible. Perfectly situated, convenient to the port and amenities whilst offering peace, comfort and fantastic views across the bay with splendid sunsets. A great base for touring whether by car, bike or using the very reliable, low fare bus service. Maria is the perfect host, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the locality, always willing to offer advice and provide recommendations. Her hospitality is second to none and her breakfasts are delicious, freshly made and plentiful with a great choice for all tastes. Would definitely recommend
