Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this hotel and to Kefalonia. The hotel is in a fantastic location with wonderful views. The room was fine. There was a shower over the bath, so we requested a bath mat and one was provided quickly. There was a good variety at breakfast and it was lovely to sit outside on the terrace. The beach and sea are idyllic. There are not enough sunbeds for the number of rooms and some people were reserving them early and not using them till late morning. It would be an idea for the hotel to implement a system to stop this, perhaps if the sunbed isn't occupied by 10.30,take a photo and remove towels etc. There are lots of lovely restaurants nearby. We hope to return.

Well we keep coming back to the Mediterranee because it really is a perfect holiday for us. From the minute you walk through the door you feel welcomed in the smart and bright reception area. The desk staff are always friendly, professional and knowledgeable with excellent language skills. They have never failed us when we have needed help or advice. It is difficult if not impossible to single out particular staff for mention as they all provide an excellent service and are always smiling. The maids kept our room spotless and regularly supplied clean towels and everything else that we used in the tea/coffee department. The restaurant has been updated and looks beautiful. Cannot praise the chef highly enough and we are more than happy to go half board and eat our evening meals here. There is ample choice, a daily changing menu and the food is fresh and of good quality. Cooked beautifully. We love all the waiting staff but must mention 'our' waiter Gerry (Makis) who never fails to keep us amused and who we look forward to seeing. A new and very charming Maitre'D - Panos - who keeps the whole operation running smoothly. An excellent bar service. A very beautiful terrace to enjoy a drink with efficient and friendly staff. Lambros especially is so entertaining. One reason we choose this hotel is the position right on the beach. For those with some difficculty walking there is even a lift that will take you right down to beach level. Rosa keeps the beach and sunbeds in immaculate condition and a charge of 10 euros for the day is very reasonable. You do need to get to the beach early as it fills up quickly. Due to the higher cost of sunbeds on nearby beaches more people are flocking to this one each year. As a non-swimmer I really appreciate the calm and shallow water. We have travelled to many Greek islands in the last thirty years but Kefalonia and this hotel are our favourites. We look forward to returning next year as we know that we will never be let down.

“Very good”

Very pleasant, staff was very helpful. Location is absolutely fabulous near seaside. Quiet and calm you can relax all day reading your book by the seaside or swimming pool.
