“Good place to stay”

By Cuban standards, this was a good hotel. Several 2-floor buildings set on lovely ground with bushes and flowers. There is a nice outdoor swimming-pool. Our room was large and clean, bathroom was OK but rather 'tired'. Breakfast buffet was fine, several choices of warm and cold dishes. Reception staff could have been more friendly though.

“Beautiful pool and common areas. ”

This place had some great views and a beautiful pool area and swim up bar too. We listened to a band by the pool one night which was great. The Wi-Fi price is very good and the service excellent. The pillows in the rooms could use an upgrade but that’s an American preference. They have a sundry s... lisää

The pillows in the rooms could use an upgrade but that’s an American preference. They have a sundry store in the lobby which was a nice convenience. Breakfast was good but could use a little more variety. The omelettes we’re great however

“Decent rooms and good amenities”

We had an upgraded room, which was two levels. It had very comfortable beds, and was clean. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower. The grounds were lovely, and the pool was inviting. The breakfast was very good, and I had a fantastic omelette.

“Did Not Stay Overnight”

Typical Cuban military/security-service controlled hotel. The bar area is very nice. It is nearby the airport, but there are no flights. Cash is not accepted. Typical Cuban military/security-service controlled hotel. The bar area is very nice. It is nearby the airport, but there are no flights. Cash is not accepted. Get an MLC debit card at the Cadeca and charge it with Euro. Although Baracoa experienced electrical power outages, sometimes three a day, the government made sure to only inconvenience their own people and travelers like me who stay in casa particulares. The lights were always on at Hotel Porto Santos.

“Cockroaches galore!”

This hotel on the beach in Baracoa, is nice in that it's low rise with villa type accommodation around a swimming pool with a small swim up bar. But it's pretty tired and one midnight, to my utter horror, I met hundreds of cockroaches swarming in the bathroom during a tropical torrential downpour... lisää

This hotel on the beach in Baracoa, is nice in that it's low rise with villa type accommodation around a swimming pool with a small swim up bar. But it's pretty tired and one midnight, to my utter horror, I met hundreds of cockroaches swarming in the bathroom during a tropical torrential downpour. I guess they all got caught out without their umbrellas. I must tell you, however, that the inclusive breakfast in the lovely airy Spanish style dining room, was extensive, generous and delicious.
