My family and I have just returned from the Fairmont after spending a week there. Everyone loved it and can’t wait to go back. The hotel is luxurious, spacious and so very clean with beautiful views of the ocean. There was plenty to do for both the adults and children with great food in all the restaurants. The staff are very helpful and friendly - my favourite restaurant was Paper Moon with delicious pasta dishes, the Tapa and Beef & Reef were also great. They provide a great breakfast too. Shout out needs to go to the following staff who went above and beyond to ensure we were happy: Mariam, Aziz, Oussama, Decla and Khadija. Thanks guys - I can’t wait to visit again.

“Wonderful Hotel, Taghazout is a lot of fun.”

A lot of fun stuff to do in Taghazout. The beach is nice. The Fairmont is the best hotel in the area. Staff are really nice. It was great to surf right outside of hotel. Pools were nice. I liked the food wasn't silly expensive like you see at the American chains. It was expensive, but not absurd.

Your biggest asset is your staff who were all so unbelievably kind in assisting me look after my elderly father and facilitate my son and I having a few fabulous trips and meals on our own knowing he was well cared for. Your biggest asset is your staff who were all so unbelievably kind in assisting me look after my elderly father and facilitate my son and I having a few fabulous trips and meals on our own knowing he was well cared for. The buggy rides to save him walking too far to the room and the gentle attention from Iman in particular who is a huge asset to the hotel and has beautiful English but also so much a helpful and kind nature nothing was too much trouble so thank you we will be back! This is a lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and beautiful landscaping. Dining In the evening there are four restaurants to choose from, but at lunchtime only one is open — Beef and Reef — meaning the menu is the same every day and the restaurant gets very busy. Of the evening options, only Beef and Reef offers Moroccan dishes, and the selection is quite limited. It is also worth noting that, as a poolside restaurant, it lacks atmosphere after dark. Food quality throughout the hotel is excellent. Every meal arrived exactly as ordered and at a good pace, which was a real pleasure. The non-alcoholic drinks menu, however, could benefit from greater variety. Personal highlights were the Japanese restaurant (Morimoto) and the Tapas restaurant. A useful tip: every restaurant has a separate vegetarian and vegan menu, but these are not routinely offered — it is worth asking, as there are some lovely additional dishes to be found. We would also recommend booking all restaurants online before you travel, to secure your preferred dining times. One area for improvement would be a greater sense of Moroccan identity in the dining offer. A dedicated Moroccan and/or Lebanese restaurant would be a wonderful addition, and more authentic Moroccan decoration, music, and food throughout the hotel would greatly enhance the overall experience. Entertainment There is no evening entertainment. The "Le Hangout" teen zone, however, is fantastic (open 10am - 6pm, I believe). Our son thoroughly enjoyed playing billiards, table tennis, table football, and PlayStation, and made friends there too. The group also made great use of the paddle court and five-a-side astroturf pitch. Pools & Spa The adult pool is heated, as is a small section of the family pool, though it would be much better if the entire family pool were heated. The outdoor Jacuzzi was disappointingly cold. The spa is lovely — a particular highlight was an excellent massage with Ghizlane. Staff & Housekeeping Staff are friendly and helpful throughout. We did experience a few issues with housekeeping — on several occasions, towels, water, and glasses were not replenished — but these were minor in the context of an otherwise enjoyable stay.
