Absolutely loved our stay! The property was very safe. Security guard monitors all visitors and transportation drivers. The staff was so wonderful! We were immediately pampered the minute we drove into the property. The casita was perfect. All the amenities you would need including coffee, tea and water. We rode bikes and explored the property. We unfortunately were only at resort for 1 night so we opted to not do the bike tour, however it was fun just riding our bikes around and exploring nature. Lots of pigs and birds everywhere. We did join the underground river cenote tour with David. He was an absolute pleasure listening to him and his passion to conserve the beauty of the area. It was so much fun! Lucky for us the property was at low capacity so we had a private tour. We saw bats, mice, and all the beauty of the cenote. The food on the property was amazing! Lots to choose from and enough variety that it didn’t feel we were eating the same for lunch and dinner. The lagoon was beautiful and enjoyed it not only during the day but also drinking wine at night. Just a helpful hint, if you see bats flying at sunset, go inside. The mosquitos really come out at sunset. Once the sun sets it was perfect.

My wife and I stayed in Wakax Hacienda for our anniversary and they exceeded our expectations of what you would expect from a luxury hotel.. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. The property is incredibly beautiful - they have many pools, cenotes, lagoons, and hundreds of acres of jungle (with a Mayan village) where you can discover and visit. It's a small hotel so you're not dealing with a large crowd.. often times, we were the only ones at the cenotes or pool. They even have a private tour guide, David, who will take you on an underground river tour or jungle tour and explain the ecology and wildlife in the area. This was one of the highlights of our stay - going on a private underground river/cenote tour - we saw a lot of wildlife. The food is also amazing. We had dined in other 5 star places in Tulum/Mexico, but the restaurant in the hotel is top notch. Everything we had there was incredible - from the tacos to the local steak. We would definitely visit again.

The staff were just the most kind, friendly and warm people! The bed was super comfy, the bathrooms and rooms just so lovely! I especially loved the pool near our room with popping red and white paint- again- picture perfect! Also all of the food we ordered was great- we especially liked the ceviche and mescalitas!! Highly recommend- it really felt like such a wonderful escape on the most beautiful property!!

We only stayed one night but had amazing experience. All staff were fantastic throughout our stay. David who lead our (complimentary, onsite) underground cave tour was particularly helpful, friendly, and communicative. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat in the jungle near Tulum this is the place! Most of the time it felt like we had the resort to ourselves and the thoughtful touches such as putting sunscreen and bug spray out by the pools made you feel welcomed. Will definitely be back if we are in the area and can’t recommend the property enough.
