Ocean Breeze Hotel is part of the Vidanta group Time Share with Mayan group. The hotel of course is dated from the 70's serving many years to many guests. Upgrades are happening, but units suit all family needs with full serviced kitchens, bedrooms, dining. The staff cater most efficiently with all respects. Is right off beach housing palapas and beach activities. There is laundry and parking and store. Food/drinks good but may find bit pricey being there are numerous places to try and enjoy as well. 2 pools on premises. One with activities and area for kids and other being a quiet pool. Both are waiter friendly and serviced with attention and smiles. You will enjoy this resort having it's away from the main hub location and real feel of feet on the sands of Mexico. All transportation whether by bus or cab easily accessible. Resort is also all-inclusive.

this was our third hotel stay on our vacation and is a very nice resort it has everything you need all on the grounds of the resort very comfortable rooms and nice kitchen if you want to make some of your own meals. the staff is very friendly and make you feel at home we met two people who made our stay feel like we were at home the first was trini he is good person and goes out of his way to help in anyway he can and the second was the lady who cleaned our room i am sorry i do not remember her name but she was very friendly and a nice person also and fun to talk to, yes we plan on returning to this resort in the future.

“Nice but not for us”

We stayed at this resort for the final two nights of our 2 weeks stay in Mazatlan. We stayed at this resort for the final two nights of our 2 weeks stay in Mazatlan. We arrived at the hotel by foot as no taxi driver would take us there because they were unfamiliar with the name of the resort - it is formerly known as the Mayan Palace and before that, Vidafel (sp?). Anyhow, we arrived at the resort three hours prior to check in and the staff at the front were very friendly, accommodating, and checked us in without us having to wait. We got to our room - long and narrow with the necessities for our stay, but really, we weren't planning on staying in our room that much since the weather was so beautiful. Our first night there was noisy and loud. Yelling and singing around the pool - not sure what was going out, but at least it was happy noise and not that of drunks fighting. My husband and I were heading to bed and when we pulled the blanket back, we were horrified to see small droplets of fresh blood on the sheets.... I quickly removed the sheets and found extras that were available for the extra beds in the room. Not a great first impression. Sleep was difficult but eventually came. In the morning our room phone rang and I answered. I was greeted by a friendly voice on the other end - a lady who identified herself as "Dora." She invited me down to see her in the lobby as she had coupons for drinks and food for my family and I. We were down to the lobby within minutes and found Dora waiting for us at counter different from the check-in desk. I introduced myself to her and she seemed excited to explain Mazatlan and all of its wonders and entertainment to us until I mentioned that we were flying home the next day. She seemed confused and I explained to her that we were only staying at this resort for two nights because our original resort was unable to accommodate our family for our final two nights. She seemed unimpressed and guess what - no drink coupons....no food coupons....only a sheet with translations and a few brochures on the sights of Mazatlan. I was not impressed - regardless of how long a visitor is staying, all should be offered the same. I did not ask about the coupons because we weren't planning on eating at the over-priced restaurants anyways. We much preferred the roadside taco stands across from the Mega store anyways - about a third of the price and excellent authentic Mexican food. The pools were lovely and my kids and I had a great time in them. The grounds were kept very clean and tidy and we were thrilled to see giant iguanas sauntering through the grounds as if they were hotel guests. All in all, the resort itself is very nice. My family and I are NOT all-inclusive people and preferred the condo that we stayed in for the first 12 nights. If you are a family that enjoys all-inclusive resorts, give this one a try as they seem to try to please.
