This hotel is WONDERFUL!!! The best part is the 5 star restaurant. Isobel has taken such good care of us - she is gracious and professional and warm. The sommelier Rodrigo is so knowledgeable - we are in our 70's and you would think that we would know everything about wine at this age, but he has taught us, and introduced us to some lovely wines.

Hotel is close to Sao Miguel. One of the newer hotels, hence reason for the booking. Rooftop has a great view, however, pool size is small and the hotel pics can be a bit misleading. Hotel is close to Sao Miguel. One of the newer hotels, hence reason for the booking. Rooftop has a great view, however, pool size is small and the hotel pics can be a bit misleading. Lounge chairs were always full when we attempted. Breakfast selection was great and food was delicious. Servers were friendly. Biggest disappointment was when hotel staff tried to give us a double room upon check in without disclosure of changing our room. Upon walking into our room, we discovered the 2 twin bed room, where I recalled booking a King size room way in advance. At first I was doubting myself why I would book a double room, luckily I had a printout with email confirmation that shows my original booking with points was a King size room. When I brought this to the manager's attention, Tomislav Gregorovic, he has a dismissive attitude at first. Did not bother apologizing for the mix up and only stated for me to give a copy of my email confirmation to research what happened. Never heard back from him on what happened nor any apology. Lesson learned: strongly advise you to print out your confirmation!

I rate this 3.5. The hotel is not very family friendly. We requested an early checkin, since we reached Sao Miguel via a morning flight and had our infant with us. I rate this 3.5. The hotel is not very family friendly. We requested an early checkin, since we reached Sao Miguel via a morning flight and had our infant with us. Not an unreasonable early checkin, maybe an hour or two than usual. The staff kept saying we have prioritised you and will send you a Whatsapp msg, but no msg came till 3:15. I had to recheck and then they said yes its ready. I also asked if I could grab a banana from the buffet for my baby and the front office staff refused. How rude is that? Is a banana going to break your bank?that too for a baby? Luckily the restaurant staff was nicer and the chef made me some rice for my daughter as I requested, I paid for it ofcourse but they answered my questions patiently. The room was nice. No complaints about that, got partial sea view. Less vegetarian options in the menu. Really need to train the front desk staff to be warmer (not fake) and more accommodating. I really think they were a little racist.
