Yoan welcomed us warmly and had been kind to make advance reservations for us at our favorite restaurants in Cancale and Dinan. Our room was spacious and comfortable, though the bed linens seemed a bit rough to the touch this year. The bathroom was well-appointed, and the heater worked well, which was good to have with the large open shower. Breakfast offerings included bread, cakes, pastries, meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, etc., as usual, with eggs available to fry or boil to your liking. Note that the eggs are fresh and uncooked -- several folks, thinking they were soft (or hard) boiled, picked them up to take to their tables. We highly recommend.

“WONDERFUL SURPRISE”

We were delighted with the historic property that was quaint and very comfortable to stay. The rooms were well appointed and clean. 100% atmosphere of Brittany. Breakfast option was very nice. Bar was limited but still excellent. Modest pricing Definitely stay there again

What a gem this place is a credit to the owners and staff! We booked a superior room for ourselves and a standard for the kids but were upgraded to 2 superiors, which was a bonus. What a gem this place is a credit to the owners and staff! We booked a superior room for ourselves and a standard for the kids but were upgraded to 2 superiors, which was a bonus. It’s a quaint old building that has been renovated to a superb standard, our rooms were up a spiral staircase on the first and second floors, which could be an issue for those with mobility issues, but I’m sure they have rooms that are suitable. Breakfast was good with a decent selection. Definitely will stop here again if in the area.

We learned that Myriam sold the place in Nov 2020 to an investment group, but managed it for 5 yrs, ending mid-Nov’24. The new managers are Emilie and Damien. Both are very helpful and speak excellent English. Looks like the name might be changing to Les Douets Fleuris. Dining room and lobby ha… lisää

We learned that Myriam sold the place in Nov 2020 to an investment group, but managed it for 5 yrs, ending mid-Nov’24. The new managers are Emilie and Damien. Both are very helpful and speak excellent English. Looks like the name might be changing to Les Douets Fleuris. Dining room and lobby have been redone and rooms are being updated. The flat ceiling in room 29 was converted to a cathedral ceiling, and the room had a nice bed and plenty of electrical outlets, but no mirror, and no shelves for toiletries—we miss the armoire. We covered the new sheers in the bathroom window with a towel to give us some privacy. The WIFI obliged us to enter 2 names and email every time we fired up our phone or laptop, which was annoying. The breakfast room now has a buffet in the center and 2-tops down one side. The offering isn’t quite as extensive as it used to be, but it’s still good, and includes scrambled eggs — though the fruit could have been fresher. Coffee has to be made by the server. We liked it better when we could pour our own brewed coffee from an urn and add hot milk to taste -- but the coffee's still good.
