“Fantastic Holiday ”

We had a wonderful holiday. On arrival we were welcomed by a great reception team. Our chalet was clean and had everything we needed. We were in between the lake and the sea the views were lovely. We had a wonderful holiday. On arrival we were welcomed by a great reception team. Our chalet was clean and had everything we needed. We were in between the lake and the sea the views were lovely. The on site sauna was fabulous and the onsite shop very friendly. We ate at the restaurant a few nights which was excellent. We also treated ourselves to a few spa sessions. We booked this resort as a little break but enjoyed it so much we plan to go back there next year for two weeks! Thank you for such an amazing holiday.

“Good but expensive”

The resort is fully naturist, though the staff all remain clothed unfortunately, the atmosphere would be better if they stripped off too. The setting is lovely and the beach is perfect. The whole theme is eco-friendliness and natural. We had a Paradiso cabin, which was very good. Everything in Corsica is more expensive than is mainland France, and Riva Bella is no exception. The on-site shop is overpriced and understocked, and shut half way through our stay, necessitating a 20km round trip to the nearest shop. The 'Thallasa Centre' is OK, but nothing special and the prices are about double what you would pay for the same in the UK.

“Late summer escape”

Our first visit to Riva Bella for a late September/early October break and we loved it. The site, beach, staff and facilities all combined to make a lovely holiday. It was so relaxing and different to ‘normal’ holiday resorts and we definitely want to return

We loved Riva Bella, and do plan to come again. This was our first trip here. The beach is wonderful, with soft sand and lovely water. The rooms were perfect, very clean and well appointed. They provide everything you need in the kitchen. There is a fairly good sized refrigerator and freezer. The patios are covered, with comfortable seating. Showers are fabulous. The beds were decent. We figured that the grocery store on site would have meagre offerings (which it does), so we stopped at the grocery store on the way to the resort to pick up essentials, but also brought a lot of food from home. We had planned to do most of our own cooking, which we prefer to do. But we planned for one or two nice meals in the restaurant. Why did I rate it a 4 star, then? The restaurant on site is listed as being open all day. The web site says this. The reception told us this when I asked specifically. But the trick was that they are only open for meals from 12-1:30 and after 7:30 pm (and breakfast some time). We went there one day, to find they were closed due to a service issue. We said we would be back the next day for a meal, and the person we spoke with neglected to tell us these limited opening hours. The next day, we were back at 2 pm, only to be turned away again. By this time, we had used up most of the food in our room in preparation for our departure (we eat our big meal mid day, only have a snack after that), and the grocery store was closed, not opening again until 5:30 pm. A restaurant or grocery store off site would have meant calling a taxi. So we went without. Yes, I'm griping a bit, but I'm hungry. Somehow, others know when they're open for meals, but I don't see it. So I'm passing this on to you, fellow travelers, so you'll know.
