We stayed in Maranatha twice (1 night each time) in two different apartments and were really impressed with the unique style that each apartment has. The facilities were great. Clean and comfortable. But the best part was the gorgeous beach that was right outside our front porch! Our two girls (8 yo and 6 yo) loved it and played a lot on the sand. The hosts are very friendly and warm and are a well traveled couple, as is evident in the various lovely pieces of art and photos that decorate the apartments. Each apartment is different and unique. The perfect place for a family stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

“Absolutely Beautiful !!”

We arrived on the 22nd of August at Maranatha and stayed for a week. The moment we drove into the property and saw the Porto-Vecchio Bay and visited our Maquis Villa....we went WOW !!! We arrived on the 22nd of August at Maranatha and stayed for a week. The moment we drove into the property and saw the Porto-Vecchio Bay and visited our Maquis Villa....we went WOW !!! We loved it instantly !! The villas have an incredible charm, that no "modern" villa or hotel can offer.....most of the furniture are brought back from Catherine and Oliviers trips. The entrance doors which were brought back from Morrocco give a poetic oriental vibe to each villa. The Tree in the middle of the villa was a great surprise also. Catherine and Olivier were discrete and beautiful hosts. We didn't need much, but if we asked something, they would always take care of it. They also gave us good tips for trips to the beach, rivers, mountains and good music in a paillote. Swimming and Kayaking in the bay everyday were a treat. My wife,me and the kids will definetly come back to this beautifully designed and poetic place......this spot full of charm is definetly made for artists,poets,nature lovers and people that are sick of the typical modern beach hotel with no vibes i can't believe the negative and snobbish comments written about this place ! The villas,the sheets and towels are clean. The utensils aren't modern enough ?......so what !! The mosquitos attack at a certain time in the evening and then stop.....easy to deal with. The low frequence sound of the Ferry entering the bay at 8 Am was no problem at all.....actually sounded cool : ) see you soon VIVA MARANATHA !!

“Paradise but housing very basic”

We stayed at Maranatha for one week and truth must be told: the small compound with 5 or so small houses looks like paradise. Situated on the beach with a panoramic view in the direction of the old town of Port Vecchio, nice and claen swimming pool, comfortable chairs and last but not least: very kind owners. The houses are handmade and fit very wel into the surrounding landscape. But....once again, truth must be told again: the furniture _ bed - chairs in the house and in the small garden - is very very basic. The same applies for the kitchen: too small (stove) and outdated. 2600 euro for one week is a lot of money and if you want to be a player in the championsleague of houses 'made in heaven' you have to invest accordingly!
