Our experience was not entirely typical as we stayed out of season - and Normandy in wet, chilly, windy mid-January is as out of season as you're going to get! However, we had a lovely time here, as it was so peaceful. Unlike some other reviewers here we found our ground-floor apartment to be exceptionally clean. In theory, the apartment could accommodate seven people, but that might be a bit of a crowd on a wet day, especially as there was only one toilet; however, a group of four would be fine as there's both a bathroom and a shower room. The beds were comfortable and everything worked and looked clean and smart. There are ample facilities for self-catering, and our highlight was a magnificent seafood feast with ingredients we'd bought from the fish market in Trouville. If you want to eat out, though, there seem to be plenty of places nearby in the countryside, villages and seaside resorts (of which our favourite was Honfleur). We'd be very happy to return in warmer weather, when the orchards are full of blossom, and I'd imagine this would be a lovely area for some gentle cycle-touring. The chateau, with its avenue of trees and fancy ironwork gates, adds a note of distinction to the view and there's loads of safe space for children to run around outside. “Nice and small”

The appartments are situated in a very nice park with old huge trees. In September it is visited by mainly elderly people. Unfortunately the appartments are small and very basic. Dogs are allowed, you have to pay for the tv with mainly French spoken channels, probably you better don’t. I never had … lisää

The appartments are situated in a very nice park with old huge trees. In September it is visited by mainly elderly people. Unfortunately the appartments are small and very basic. Dogs are allowed, you have to pay for the tv with mainly French spoken channels, probably you better don’t. I never had to pay for watching tv. Checking in is after 17:00 h. The park is very near the nice small but tourist crowded city Honfleur. In Honfleur there are many restaurants.

“Calm and spacious environment, average comfort”

Me and my husband stayed in one of the appartments during 1 week. There was plenty of space for the two of us and the kitchen was well equipped. The same appartment however could also be booked for up to 5 people. I would definitely not recommend that, not even if 2 or 3 of the guests are children!… lisää

Me and my husband stayed in one of the appartments during 1 week. There was plenty of space for the two of us and the kitchen was well equipped. The same appartment however could also be booked for up to 5 people. I would definitely not recommend that, not even if 2 or 3 of the guests are children! A few disadvantages of the appartment are: not much daylight (none in the bathroom), unpleasant smell (I think due to the allowance of pets in the appartment), not very clean (cleaning is not included so you either have to pay for it or do it yourself, obviously not all guests have the same standards for cleaning...), no free wifi and no towels included. The area however is nice, calm and spacious with lots of trees and grass. It's also nice that there is a swimming pool (heated till 28 degrees celcius!) and a small fitness area. Conclusion: a nice, comfortable and good looking residence, but the appartments lack some comfort, service and cleanliness.

“Overall a decent stay”

Just stayed at the residence with my family for a week. The residence area is really nice and it leaves you with a calm feeling that makes you relax. Just stayed at the residence with my family for a week. The residence area is really nice and it leaves you with a calm feeling that makes you relax. There are though a couple of draw backs as the castle, which the residence buildings are build around doesn't have any use regarding your stay. The room, which we stayed in, was decent but it was nothing special. The heated pool was a nice, but the pool area was tiny for the amount of people living at the residence resulting in you not wanting to be there for longer than necessary. The staff was very friendly though and we're very helpful. If you don't want to live in the towns filled with people, but still want to be close to the water and restaurants, this place is great, but otherwise I would advise you to stay in Honfleur :)
