Zoe, the intern, is fantastic. She made our stay happy and comfortable - willing to assist us with the issues that we had and astute enough to know the kind if wats to reconcile a situation to make guests feel valued. Well done. She us a future star.

The hotel itself is beautiful and situated in a quiet neighborhood. While there is some traffic during the day and occasional noise at night, it generally becomes calmer in the evening. The hotel itself is beautiful and situated in a quiet neighborhood. While there is some traffic during the day and occasional noise at night, it generally becomes calmer in the evening. The location is slightly removed from the main attractions and historic center, but these are still easily accessible on foot or by public transport. The room was pleasant, though it was not cleaned thoroughly. Service fell short of expectations for a five-star property and was more in line with a three-star experience. Amenities were not consistently replenished, even upon request. For example, it took 40 minutes and three phone calls to receive tissues. Reaching reception was often difficult, as calls frequently went unanswered. Additionally, staff lacked basic courtesy, with little to no greeting when passing guests, giving the impression of disengagement rather than attentive service.

“Disappointed in Stay”

This was first time staying at a Mondrian and was very disappointed. While the hotel is designed lovely and the rooms are a good size…for a 5 star hotel service is not up to par. This was first time staying at a Mondrian and was very disappointed. While the hotel is designed lovely and the rooms are a good size…for a 5 star hotel service is not up to par. The room was dirty and we had to call multiple times to receive simple amenities ( there are not many included with the room) as it very hard to teach reception. I believe it may be part of the brand, however staff is not friendly…in fact rarely acknowledge you when you come in and almost try to stay invisible…some may like that. Atmosphere is very calm and dark like a wine cellar. The pool area is good, the breakfast is good, the gym is tiny. Area is safe and easy walk to Chartrons but a bit farther from downtown Bordeaux if you are looking for that. The road can also be a bit noisy during the day.
