We stayed at the hotel on a four-night stay in Bordeaux during an extended trip to Spain and France. The location is a bit beyond walking distance from the central city, but very near La Cité du Vin--a highly interactive "museum" about wine (see reviews about it for more info). The Cité du Vin tram stop is only about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and makes getting into all areas of the central city easy. Like Moxy hotels worldwide, the concept is small but thoughtfully designed rooms with shared public space. The staff was conversant in English, and very friendly and helpful. Great option if your interest in visiting Bordeaux is learning about French wines.

“Good hotel for Bordeaux visit”

Not our usual kind of Marriott. Decor is urban /industrial. Rooms are basic No luxury It is thoroughly clean and has a young vibe with very helpful staff. Well located for tram stop to get to city centre. Good stay. Only gripe was breakfast could be improved.

Once I got my room upgrade everything was fine. Initially I was put in a room with malfunctioning air conditioning. The front desk could not have been more helpful in upgrading my room. Once I got my room upgrade everything was fine. Initially I was put in a room with malfunctioning air conditioning. The front desk could not have been more helpful in upgrading my room. The larger room had a fantastic view, 6th floor, and good functioning air conditioning. The room was very comfortable, comfortable bathtub, good TV, and a fold-out sofa. The location of the hotel is great if you're interested in the wine museum. It's a good 25 minutes by tram into the main part of the city.

“Disappointing”

We stayed here in April & thought it was ok for a short stay so decided to stay again this week. Our room was at the back of the hotel, no problem it was quiet, clean, comfortable bed but the decor was looking a bit tired, chipped paint, marks on the walls. We stayed here in April & thought it was ok for a short stay so decided to stay again this week. Our room was at the back of the hotel, no problem it was quiet, clean, comfortable bed but the decor was looking a bit tired, chipped paint, marks on the walls. When we returned the hotel after our night out we were looking forward to a night cap but were told by the rather rude staff member we couldn’t have an alcoholic drink, why ? In the morning we went down for breakfast, there was not a lot of choice but what I also did notice was how dirty & shabby everything looked, tables not cleaned, crumbs & dust on the floor, dirty glasses. Not expecting 5* but really could do better. Very disappointed
