If you're going to the wine regions of Margaux, Pauillac, St. Julien, St. Estephe, and beyond, the perfect hotel is the Relais de Margaux. This is our third stay and it continues to exceed our expectations. The rooms are spacious, with beautiful views. It has a tranquil atmosphere. After a day filled with wine tastings and tours, we loved unwinding at the hotel’s spa. The indoor pool, excellent services, and relaxation room provided the perfect backdrop for our spa days, making it a true haven of relaxation. Located next to Château Margaux and surrounded by breathtaking vineyards, the hotel is a gem in the Médoc region. The picturesque walking paths along the Gironde River and nearby golf courses only add to the charm. Plus, you’re just minutes away from restaurants . The recent updates to the hotel have only improved our experience, making it feel fresh and inviting. The rates are very comfortable, allowing us to extend our stays and create even more wonderful memories here. We can’t wait to return for many more years to come!

The hotel is very good. I only had one night to discover it, as I stayed on New Year’s Eve, but it was enough to make a great impression. I really appreciated the warm welcome from the staff and how attentive they are to guests. After returning from the restaurant on NYE, the receptionist kindly asked the bar staff if we could have a drink, even though the NYE dinner service was still ongoing. This was a very thoughtful gesture. The room was excellent and extremely clean—one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. Congratulations to the housekeeping team, who are often overlooked despite their essential work behind the scenes. Their effort truly deserves recognition. The SPA felt a bit outdated and would benefit from some maintenance work. The gym, on the other hand, seems functional, especially for guests staying longer. As the hotel is located in a golf park, it is understandably very golf-oriented, with a shop open almost every day selling golf accessories. One point for improvement: as the world moves toward a greener future, by 2026 paper usage should ideally be fully replaced by digital solutions. At the moment, the hotel is still using paper files and dossiers for each guest. This could easily be avoided. I noticed printed breakfast reports, and I assume the hotel is using Opera PMS. With proper use of the PMS and adequate staff training, paper could be significantly reduced or eliminated. This was the only aspect that surprised me a little. Overall, a great job and a very pleasant experience!

The hotel is out of date. To big wiht less staff. Only the room (junior suite) are good. Chaos in the restaurant. No good instruction of half board staying. Swimming pool outside is out of order.
