“Very clean & quiet room”

Despite being on the D626 our room was fantastically silent. Very good almost silent air conditioning,very clean bathroom,proper blackout curtains.We slept extremely well.Ample parking & breakfast ok but could do with more fruit. Despite being on the D626 our room was fantastically silent. Very good almost silent air conditioning,very clean bathroom,proper blackout curtains.We slept extremely well.Ample parking & breakfast ok but could do with more fruit. They have a reasonably priced restaurant although we did not eat there it looked & smelt good & was quite busy which is always a good sign. Would stay again en-route south & eat in restaurant rather than going into Mimizan especially if in July/August.

“Perfect when travelling between Spain and the UK”

Not 5* by any means but rates as "perfect" for us when travelilng as a family of 5 and with pets. The hotel owner always remembers us and greets with a warm smile and a special hello to the children. Not 5* by any means but rates as "perfect" for us when travelilng as a family of 5 and with pets. The hotel owner always remembers us and greets with a warm smile and a special hello to the children. It has a great family room with 2 kings size and one single bed and bags of space and en suite so great for famlilies. Good breakfast choice at reasonable price. Premises also operates as an evening restaurant but with different people but the quality is great and it has a good menu. Highly recomended for those who want to get off the beaten track a little and relax in forest suroundings yet be close enough to the main motorways to continue a trip.

It was worth driving off the main Bordeaux-Spain route for this pleasant stop in a quiet, picturesque village of Saint Paul en Born. Down the road, is the touristy Mimizan Plage and nearby is the lovely Biscaross Lake, so you can take your pick as to how to spend your evening. The hotel has a choice of rooms and I chose the room with a terrace which was great for us after the long drive that day. It meant we had somewhere to enjoy the evening sunshine and for our dog to escape from the room. Dogs are welcome at this hotel, but not in the dining room, however, we were able to sit in their outside bar and watch the village go by. The hotel is situated next to the church with its insistent bells at 7:30 am, but its well kept lawns and lovely surroundings make up for all that. Breakfast was a buffet and more than enough. NO kettle in the room, no hairdryer either, but all the rooms are recently modernised and very stylishThey have a restaurant but it does not operate on a Sunday evening, however, we took ourselves off to Mimizan page 10kms away and ate very reasonably at the Garage Toqué restaurant on the sea front. We found the service attentive and friendly, but then we speak French - makes a big difference we find!

We ate in this restaurant because we were biking on the excellent bike path that cuts across this village, so options were limited. They offer a menu with the "plat du jour" and an all-you-can-eat buffet of entrées and dessert for about 12,50€, if I remember correctly. The entrées were simple: egg mayo, charcuterie, potato salads, etc. The desserts were simple as well: crême brulée, chocolate pie, etc. I believe that most of the food came from a factory, and simply "dressed-up", with a few homemade items thrown in the mix. It was good enough but I could buy the same items myself and skip the middlemen. Service was OK, if a bit inattentive. The wine was fine as well.
