We stayed in an apartment in the building next to the hotel for four nights, and we absolutely loved our stay here. It was very hot at the end of August, but the living room air conditioner cooled the entire apartment including the back bedroom. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with a nice queen bed in a quiet bedroom, a pull out sofa, a compact but well equipped kitchenette, large tv, dining table , and a terrace overlooking the beach. The balcony has a table for four, two deck chairs and a small foldable drying rack for hand laundry. The beach club Playa Miramar is fantastic, and we really enjoyed relaxing there for a couple of days under the very good care of the staff. We loved the beach club’s breezy French island atmosphere, rattan chaise lounges (18€/pp) great cocktails and healthy delicious food. Swimming was also wonderful, calm water, smooth sandy bottom, no current, though you do need to wade out a bit for hip or chest height depth. The hotel restaurant is also terrific, and we enjoyed a great meal with a spectacular sunset, The town of Le Grau -du-Roi offers many terrific seafood restaurants, bakeries, markets and boutiques, as well as catamaran sailing excursions from the port. On both weekend nights we saw and heard two live concerts and there was a lively small Italian festival in town as well. Minutes away from the beach are bull farms ( manades) you can visit for daytime herding and riding demos or a full evening soirée. We enjoyed our evening at nearby Manade Julliane. The fascinating and beautiful medieval walled town of Aigues-Mortes is also just a few minutes away, and well with visiting including touring the top of the ramparts, and there are several nearby wineries (vin du sable) and the fantastic wine warehouse shop, Maison des Vins. We attended a bullfight in the nearby town of St.Laurent Aigouze which was greatly entertaining, as the bull is never killed and often outsmarts the men. We saw flamingoes and other birds in the ponds outside of the town and the beaches around the Tour Carbonneire. All in all, I highly recommend the Cafe Miramar Hotel and the very scenic surrounding region. Our time there was definitely the highlight of our 17 day visit, which was spent mostly in southern France.

“The Best of the Best!!!”

I can't say enough good things about this lovely little hotel/restaurant!! The rooms are pretty, clean, very comfortable, and have gorgeous views of the Mediterranean from the balconies. The restaurant is charming and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS! But the best part has to be the caring, helpful… lisää

I can't say enough good things about this lovely little hotel/restaurant!! The rooms are pretty, clean, very comfortable, and have gorgeous views of the Mediterranean from the balconies. The restaurant is charming and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS! But the best part has to be the caring, helpful, delightful staff. Each one goes out of their way to make sure your every hour is as comfortable and happy as possible. We LOVED staying here and hope we can come back many times! Highly, highly recommended.
