“Spontaneous Spectacular Spa experience!”

We had 2 days unplanned on our trip for the first time ever on one of our vacations. I found Les Corallines on another website and was intrigued by the photos. Also we're driving all over France and they have free parking and paid underground parking. It's a few miles from town but easy to get around. I requested the paid parking ended up not using it and parked for free. As you pull up you know right away this is a top notch hotel. The reception desk is close to the entrance and the staff was very welcoming right away. We ended up on the first floor in room 109 Suite with a sea view with an amazing view of the pool and Mediterranean sea. Elevator like most in Europe is small so it took two trips to get luggage to room. Nice large room with separate living room, two balconies, two bathrooms, large closet, desk, table and chairs, TV, mini fridge, very nice hardwood floors. There are sliding separating walls to separate the rooms. It was nice being able blaze out on the balcony with unbelievable views. Now for the not so greatness about the room. Typical European hard bed( so sad). Beds should be the number one priority always but sadly in my experience that's not the case. They have outlets but sadly not very many that are convenient to plug into. Other than these things the room was nice. The rest of the hotel is clean and filled with a lot of stuff going on. They have spa with massage, Hammam, sauna, indoor pool, outdoor pool, cafe, salon, hydro therapy pool and across the parking lot a hydro bike pool, oh and a beach. I think they even rent bikes. We arrived before the normal 15:00 check in time just after noon. Lucky for us our room was ready. As soon as we got the luggage up to room we went to the pool eating area and had some lunch and wine. Wife ordered the Oysters from Bouzigues and we both shared the assorted French cheeses and the Chocolate praline-flvoured crispy(gourmet kit kat) with a very delicious Rose'. After lunch we sat at the pool for a bit and soaked up the sunshine. The bartender was awesome. While at the pool I had like 8 glasses of Rose'. Then we decided to go to the beach and step in the Mediterranean sea for the first time. Very romantic setting. We then proceeded to go try the Spa. We decided on the Hammam and not the Sauna. It was very relaxing and with just the right amount of steam. Spa is top notch all the way. Actually one of the nicest i've ever seen at a hotel. And the staff is top notch too. After the spa we wanted some dinner. We chose not to eat at the hotel. We felt the menu was limited. So we drove into town. Honestly it didn't have much to offer either. dinner was kind of a bust. So I drank more Rose' it was so good. One of the best we've had on the trip. Overall this hotel is exactly what it looks like on the internet. Nice rooms with beautiful top notch staff and Spa. We wanted to stay a second night and actually booked it for the second floor but we decided to move on to the next stop and spend more time there which was Bordeaux. But I will return to Southern France and most likely choose this hotel but stay for 3 or more nights. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location with large outdoor pool and small heated salt water indoor pool (for hotel guests). A 2min walk to the beach. Close to restaurants and bars. Be aware that children under 14 years are not allowed to use the facilities of Thalasso (pool, sauna, etc). Hotel and rooms are dated and definitively not 4* - would need significant investments. Breakfast was ok.

La Grande Motte was a new holiday resort, when France, in the 1960s. decided to build its own Costa, to encourage people to go on holiday in France. The architecture of La Grande Motte is indeed special, and of its time, as ziggurats and pyramids dominate the skyine; nevertheless it was a pleasure to holiday at this Spa Les Corallines, located in a sunlit environment adjacent to the beach. The rooms have large bay windows that open onto a private balcony; the views onto the sea and swimming-pool of heated sea water spectacular. The hot tub was followed by massage and wrapping and the scent of almond. The buffet at the 4 * Spa, Corallines restaurant was great -wifi was free throughout the hotel but registration details necessary each time. Overall a great but quite expensive hotel & spa experience with sauna, steam room and a large pool swimming pool for relaxation.
